1983/4. Won the league, played about 15 cup games across 3 competitions. Cup runs are only an excuse for bad form, not the cause of bad form. Cup runs can build confidence, especially if you are taking the scalps of bigger clubs. How many players were used that season? 24 according to RageOnline. A quick count of cup games that season gives a total of 19. www.rageonline.co.uk/mainpage/season/25/

Went to see it today, thought it was great, took my younger girlfriend and she didn't have clue and looked bored. Depends when you were born I suppose, for some of us star wars was massive when you were growing up, I was born just before the first film so was a kid for the sequels and had the toys etc. I should imagine if you are to old or young its a geek thing but for me and my mates, most of whom are miles away from that description its nostalgia and then a bit more. Disney have hit a goldmine buying it all, have a deep ng they will make that £4 billion back a couple of rimes over. What did your older girlfriend make of it? Nearly asked that very same question myself

Didn't we once try to get Malcolm Shotton as the SPOTY after he became manager? Was one of the earliest online/fanzine campaigns IIRC... Was at the end of Shotton's first season in charge when he kept us in the Championship I believe...

That he won this year is more an indictment of a pretty poor year for Brits in major sports than anything else Apart from a Tour de France win, Mo Farah winning 2 golds AGAIN... We have had success. And Joe Root not even on the list. #1 batsman in the world, Ashes winner, but not even considered.

Are the Wycombe club officials allowed in here, they are having a bit of a panic at the thought of Oxford fixtures at the moment.

If WWFC sell all the tickets to a mix of Adults, Children and OAPS at the same mix as the 1800 already sold the club would get an extra £3875 worth of revenue plus the VAT. Under normal circumstances the policing/stewarding/clearing up of this area costs just over £2000 as it did for Portsmouth, however additional policing/stewarding/clearing up is needed because of last years problems, pushing the cost up to in excess of £3500. I understand because of this extra policing and the possibility that all tickets may not be sold that the club have decided to keep numbers at 1800. It seems that because of a small handful of supporters(cough!) last year that 300 of your fans are now being denied the chance of watching you play. Got to feel sorry for those passionate but well behaved fans who are now being denied tickets because of your supporters(cough!) IF that was true, why lie about it at the beginning?

Whenever someone says to me "don't care about cup runs the league is all important", I tell them to look up the 1983/4 fixture list. More cup matches that season than we have had for the last few seasons combined. Didn't stop us walking the league, in fact you could argue that Milk Cup run was the making of our club.

Think Thursday must be the only day I've not seen OUFC play before... so that's something. Surely a Boxing Day must have fallen on a Thursday before? Unless you mean a 'normal' midweek Thursday. 2013 I believe Boxing day was a Thurday.

Maybe not with the rest day in the middle, I think we'd be OK if it was 3 consecutive days. But surely no-one would pay £20 three times just to see 90 minutes of football? This needs thinking through. If the club adopts this "playing over three days" idea, I don't think they could reasonably charge more than £7 for each 30 minute segment. Yeah of course they would have to change the ticket pricing, but the money made by food and drink should increase massively. And programme sales, one for each segement of the match, so more sales and advertising revenue.

What? Play 30 minutes each day to maximize the revenue? I think he means Friday, Sunday or Monday they wouldn't be allowed to play one tie over three days surely Maybe not with the rest day in the middle, I think we'd be OK if it was 3 consecutive days.

Best player in the world or not if I was a Man City fan I would be disgusted that my team were paying someone £800k a week. £38 million a year. f*ck the premier league. We would be able to pay for a few nurses with all that tax however...
