They were also linking Guardilola to Man City as well this morning.
If they got those 2 next season would be a little more interesting....
The new TV deal is going to skew the finances so much towards the Premiership, it will be even more of an uneven playing surface.

Can't see him moving for money alone. There would have to be some kind of falling out to make him want to leave a club playing some of the best football ever seen. I'd play for Barca for 100k a week over Man City for 800k no doubt!
The Premier league may have the money but for the real top players its not currently that attractive an option.

Don't forget that him and his father are under intense scrutiny in Spain over his tax issues. Allegedly Neymar's contract has apparently taken precedence over his as well. I totally agree that from a football perspective why leave Barcelona to go to any English team on footballing grounds?

Yep fair point, there are definitely potential non-footballing reasons that he might leave.

Best player in the world or not if I was a Man City fan I would be disgusted that my team were paying someone £800k a week. £38 million a year. f*ck the premier league.

Agree, but the game is already ruined by 200k per week salaries, I'm not sure making it 800k makes much difference.

I'm sure man city fans will be happy that they get to see the best player in the world play for them, knowing the owners/ tv money are more than capable of covering his wages. Pretty much buys them a few trophies on its own as well if he can continue his form from Spanish football

He would break the 100 million mark for a transfer too so ridiculous money all around. Cheaper to get a flight and ticket to the nou camp if they want to see him play

Must be that time of year when Messi and Rinaldo are negotiating pay rises and contract extensions, same rumours every year and nothing ever comes of it.

Yep, and the rumours most probably get started by the player's respecitive agents, so as to try and eke a 25/50K a week more out of their clubs - of which they themselves get a nice slice too.
