My eyes are getting a bit tired. Would you mind if I looked away for half an hour or so? Part-time plastic watcher of space wanting to leave early...

No, not the play offs. We've got to go up via the automatics as I definitely wouldn't feel us being successful that way. We deserve to go up via the automatics, especially how well we've played throughout the season. I agree with you, but there were some posting on here after the Accrington game saying we would be lucky to be hanging on to the final play-off place! Perspective (as Roddie Frame once sang) Not often you get a Roddie Frame reference on here, most are Oblivious to him

Right, that's the game done I'm leaving early. The Fence End left at 2-0! I'm going to PM "Loyal Supporter" to him then.

I left 5 mins after they equalised... Ok my Pops had a fall in the south stand and ruptured his tendon in his knee and faces an operation tomorrow followed by 10-12 weeks on crutches. Does that make us not loyal supporters?! Ouch! Hope he is OK, and you don't have Wembley tickets in the gods!!!

I was at Wembley for the Foals gig Tuesday night, the food inside the ground will be better than what is outside it, shocking area.

I find arrogant 'I'm better than you I stayed to the end loyal supporters' more annoying than fans who leave a few mins from the end by a long shot.
If you feel the need to criticise a fellow 'U' for that, or criticise someone who only gets to 10 or so games a year, you need to grow up.

Just seen a post on the Barnsley forum about Malcolm Shotton. "Not in the greatest of health, receiving regular hospital treatment for conditions relating to his playing days. Would be nice if two clubs he gave sterling service to got together and invited him to Wembley. " I would be in favour of this as well, most definitely. Oxford Legend.

And before any body suggests it.....I aint moving Obvious solution then. Give them the East Stand, and put a ring of Stewards around Bazzer to keep him safe. Should only need 8 stewards to ring him in, total reduction in capacity: 8 seats.

The club uses Ticketmaster for its regular ticket service but absorbs the fees so the fans don't have to pay for them. Very honourable of them. Can understand why they haven't for the JPT final though. Annoying as it it, it's the way that ticketmaster can guarantee a profit on every ticket. Absorbing the fees for 1000 tickets (or whatever we sell via the internet) for a league game is one thing, but doing the same for possibly 40,000 is a lot of money...

They have appointed Colin? He has been out of game for a while hasn't he? Had a caretaker stint at QPR a while back, must be a couple of years since his last full time job.

For me, No. Just NO. The whole point of a league structure is the best rises up, the worst drops down. Would you really want to see (for example) freshly relegated Newcastle United playing Accrington Stanley in a league match? The gap in abilities throughout the individual leagues would be massive.
You would have clubs who would NEVER get to experience a promotion in that setup. Clubs like us for instance. The chance of us getting a strong enough side together for a push to the premier league would be small. No other chance of a promotion, so season after season of mid-table. Who would want to watch that?
The only plus I could see would be better distribution of money, but that's not a reason to change the whole league structure.

and gives a sense of belonging and local pride. That quote from Eric is what I felt as a teenager standing on the LRT, the sense of belonging to something was a powerful draw. I have never been involved in any aggression, I am not interested in that at all and if I am honest I would prefer it didn't happen at all. Yet conversely I love an aggressive and tense atmosphere at a game which of course is a complete contradiction when you think about it. My dad got into some scrapes with his mates in the 70s (wouldn't surprise me in the least of he knew Eric and a few others on here by sight) and has spoken of loads of times of Police telling untruths even back then. In 30-odd years following Oxford all over the place I have never been caught up in any significant trouble, only 2 occasions I can remember were Arsenal fans coming up behind the LRT after the 84 cup game, and being in the wrong pub before an FA Cup game in Southampton bit these were pretty trivial incidents. It is easy to keep away from.

No need to ask really, promotion is all important. 3 points. If I asked the question again nearer the time and our auto place looked more secure, would it be the same answer, the JPT final is 2 months away. You may get more of a mixed answer, not from me though... I never underestimate our ability to bugger things up and would take the 3 points.

Never seen it leave early if we are 0-3 down, mind you not seen it at away games. True, but then I have never seen it join in with a song either. Just sits there in silence. And it is only fully behind the team for one half a match.

Booby Ford was class and Atkinson brothers need a mention. Also Keith Cassells was a prolific, quality striker back around '82 I think he played for Bristol TBH What, both Bristols?

Bloody slow walk I'm near Kwik Fit, 15 min max to either, pinger drive, cut through the village car park for Town, or straight up Queens Ave, Buckingham Rd for North I thought that! If you started in Sheep Street and walked in any direction for 45 minutes you wouldn't still be in Bicester at the end of it! Just got my run route planner on the job. I am on the edge of Langford. Bicester Town station is 0.85 miles away. So taking a steady walking speed of 3.5mph a good 15mins walk. Sheep Street is 1 mile from home. Bicester North (if I go via Sheep Street) is 1.6Mls, or 30mins walking. 10mins to get tickets etc... And if you catch the Bicester Town level crossing down that is another 5mins. Would never give less than 45mins to walk to Bicester North.

Hmm, Bicester North or Bicester Town station... Decisions. Bicester north might be easier, the train will be full by the time it gets to Bicester Village! Never thought of that, I live 5min walk from Bicester Town, but 45min walk to Bicester North. May be worth a walk, and a stop off for a beer in town on the way.
