I can't even remember who scored our goals against Rotherham at the weekend, no chance of recalling that...

Whatever you think of The National Anthem, itโs got a great bass line - always a highlight when played live. And live it doesn't have the jazz ending either which is a plus.

The problem in the US is the establishment are using their anthem as a way of trying to assert control on people by saying they are 'unpatriotic' instead of actually dealing with the issues.
I have no problem with people sitting for the anthem, I have more of an issue with booing the anthem of others.

As interesting as an Oxford derby would be, presumably Jack Stevens wouldn't be allowed to play and we don't really have a back up keeper! I'd like to go to Pompey with City..or Swindon An interesting point. Didn't Rosie play against us for Marlow, even though he was still officially employed by OUFC. Can't remember exactly in what capacity then though, possibly not as a player. He did. And my brother was a Marlow player at the time, but suspended for the match.

Don't get all the people wanting us to be drawn away from home. 1st and 2nd rounds, lowest ranked teams at home. Get to the 3rd round then Spurs away. That would be my ideal.

I don't remember it as a complete stuffing, we were in the game for quite a while, Phillips and Foyle played really well. Gazza though, on a different planet. And who else remembers the Nayim dive right in front of us? Wasn't it the breeze from the head banded, one capped Steve Foster's foot being withdrawn that caused him to throw himself to the floor? Worst dive I have ever seen live. Even worse than that Brian Deane one in front of the LRT for Sheff Utd.

And who else remembers the Nayim dive right in front of us? Think they could happily have had 6+ they just moved up several gears and moved away like an elegant race-horse! Maybe time is blurring the memory!! Last 20mins or so they did go for it, but I think we were hanging in there at 2-3, and playing some decent stuff. That second Gascoigne goal though, something else.

The word โlikeโ would typically be added to the end of that sentence were it said by a Scouser. However, that spelling of the word comes nowhere close to how it would be pronounced by said Scouser. I, however, am unable to find a way of writing that pronunciation in a phonetic way. ยฟClaro? Also, I was liking his post. Thatโs a pun, of sorts. Or wordplay, maybe. ยฟClaro? Calm down.

Or, if you're Scouse - "errm on the side of caution".ย Like (I donโt know how to write the Scouse pronunciation phonetically) Eh?

I voted Leave because I was told we'd have a World War III, that there would be job losses of 500,000, and that we would now be deep into a recession if we regained independence. I just feel as though I've been let down. None of the above has happened and I'm thoroughly disappointed. I don't think we'll be invaded by at least 2020 at this rate. Wish I could go back and vote Remain. Dont rule out WWIII just yet, have you not been watching the news...

Chants

We seemed to have a number of unique songs in the 80s, apart from Yellow Submarine, there was the 'We beat Man United...' chant, and the 'we've got the best team in the land' chant that went through the whole side. Don't think either of those were variations from other clubs, unless someone wants to correct me.

Send Crane with the Lions, Rashid with the main tour. Can always fly Crane in if needed and he hits some form.

They shouldn`t be jailed. they should have said smoke bombs inserted into various orifices and then ignited....... like a static firework. Then they can see if its "fun" or if their "pyro" adds to the "atmos". Failing that birch them. Then fine them. Then ban them. Then do it all again. Then make them watch Swindon for a season! The way they are playing at home so far this season it would be comedy gold, certainly not a worthwhile punishment...

Ox-Tales was a decent site, first OUFC site I can remember, and it inspired me to set up mine (the terribly named OUFC Information Centre - which was mainly a historical database, which Rage Online took over and expanded). There was also one by James Beard I believe, which was also a good read, with Rage Online being founded around the same period. Late 1990s.

I wasn't, I'm there tomorrow and looking at the forecast I may not see a ball bowled That bad huh? It's a shocker, looks like solid rain from about 10. Guess I'll have to amuse myself by sending pics of me in the bar to my work colleagues for 6 hours whilst they work then...
