Now as it's OUFC related it will be very easy to check on Rage. So without googling it. Not counting the play offs, who scored Oxfords last goal in Non league football ?

I can't even remember who scored our goals against Rotherham at the weekend, no chance of recalling that...

We lost to Eastbourne 1-0 on the final day and they stayed up.
God knows what the game before that was...

I would guess at Constable. OK, just looked it up. Not Constable.

Surely it's Jack Midson?

MJB is right. It was an awful game. I seem to recall Chippy didn't bother turning up and ML took charge.
Edit: After checking, it was the Eastbourne game ML took charge. Our last goal was the game before.

A continuation perhaps whereby whoever gets the question right sets the next question so we have a rolling quiz? If so, who scored our first league on our return to the Football League in 2010? Go.

I remember it well! We lost at home to Burton, but the team played really well and got a standing ovation at the end. Scorer? Maybe Toeby would like to guess?

I thought we drew our first game back in the league against Burton. I believe we lost Appleton's first game against Burton 1-0, and the players were clapped off because we'd tried playing football all game.

The first home match and first league goal was against Bury. We drew 0-0 at Burton on the opening day.

Our last goal was the game before. Against Wrexham, IIRC. A header from the left across goal. MJB is right. It was an awful game. I seem to recall Chippy didn't bother turning up and ML took charge. Question: Who was our first league win against back in the FL in 2010?

Tactically losing this game meant we faced Rushden & Diamond in the play-offs, rather than Luton, which turned out alright in the end. Probably our most important defeat ever. Luton overtook us into second and played York in their coin-strewn semi-final games instead. Imagine what the Wembley nerves would have been like had it been Oxford v Luton in the play-off final! Especially after the two late goals we experienced at their place.

Relief, as you say, probably played a big part in that as they were on something of a roll.

I can almost imagine Wilder would have set up a team not to lose at Luton and end up losing, and then not doing enough in the home leg to qualify. Almost like our Exeter playoffs the first season.
