So much for the "I enjoyed it hear good bunch of lads staff are great" obviously we aren't us to what WBA want or the Shrews are paying more money for him. Ah well let's move they're loss not ours Tbh boils down to game time...toney has gone now so probably more hope of minutes on the pitch True but Roberts couldn't shift any of our first team for a regular start

He didn't get enough game time so had to be moved on, it is definately not in their interests to have him warming the bench at Grenoble Road.

Exactly, if we had sent out a player on load but he wasn't getting much game time I would hope we would loan him to someone who would play him more.
That isn't a criticism of our management - Tyler Roberts isn't as yet developed enough to command a starting place in our first team.

Fair enough although he would possibly have started at Rotherham and against Scunny.
If he did as well as he seemed to have done coming on against Gillingham he would almost certainly have got more game time.
It will be interesting to see how he gets on at Shrewsbury

WBA are apparently very happy with his progress st Oxford but felt he needed more time in the first team. He was MoM in the match he played for them last week and they could see obvious improvements in his game.

He's had some nice words to say about OUFC on Twitter. Good luck for the future Tyler.

Wish the young lad every success. Unfortunately wasn't quite ready for our team but hope he blooms for the shrews.

Scored for Shrews in their 2-1 win over Bury on Saturday. Since joining them he's started all 3 of their games, from which they've taken 7 points - the only team to have bettered our 6 from the last 3 L1 games. Just saying.

He didn't set the world alight here and I think our January signings are an improvement. However, I hope he does well with the Shrews - particularly if it applies more pressure on S***don!

He went to Iceland though! when he was 19 yeah and he was shit there because he was homesick Do we spot the trend? It's a different country. In a standard week players will train. 10-12 1 o'clock on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. If it was really that bad he could drive a hour and a half so his mum could make his dinner. If that meant he would put it half a performance every now and again then great. He was still living here when he was banging them in in the U23 league wasn't he?

That's the the story to why he didn't want to go back, what do you want me to say? Plus Shan was p*ssed off that Appleton wasn't playing him. Since going to Shrewsbury he's had a few assists a goal and a couple of shouts for MOTM it just suits him better

I don't believe the pr crap that comes out of many clubs including ours sometimes The answers often a lot more simple. At this point in his career he was too young and no where near ready for our team. Glad he's doing well at Shrewsbury. He will get lots more game time there and hopefully flourish.

When he did appear he was not doing enough. Having said that he was gradually getting better. I am a little surprised that having no doubt had scouts watching when he did play that they were 'p*ssed off that MAPP wasn't playing him' . I am not sure that I rate the scouts based on that!!

Sometimes the player and club just don't go together, for whatever reason. Case in point here, I feel.

Given his age he has plenty of time to develop into a very good player. He is obviously quick and skilful and just needs to combine this a greater awareness of what is happening around him and then making the right decision. I wish him good luck and hope that he has an off day when we play the Shrews at the end of the season.

At least they are talking positively about how much he improved at Oxford. he seems to be doing very well at Shrewsbury and we didn't seem to see the best of him when he was here.

He had plenty of opportunities here to perform....which he failed to do, very happy he didn't stay, we have a far better player on loan now since he's gone
