The induction hob is a pain in the arse. Every time you lift the pan to toss, swirl, or turn your food, it goes off. Also you need a whole set of new pans as your old ones won't work on an induction hob. I bet Nigel at John Lewis didn't tell you that!?!?!? Ceramic all the way. But at least you won't burn ur self on exposed hob areas while tossing. The last time I exposed my hob areas, I got arrested for indecency…………..and I hadn't even started tossing!

Definitely buy Induction, it'll only turn itself off if you remove the pan for 30 seconds. It's more efficient, controllable and food won't burn onto the glass top. Look at some of the Bosch models they come with free pans. It's the same company as Neff. But anyway if a magnet sticks to the bottom of your cookware, they'll work on induction.

Doesn't it also say he's back playing for wba in 2022, currently at oxford ? And technically he is going back, as his loan runs out in Jan.

As the tweet I think ur talking about is a pic of him taking a pen with the words trust the process ? That could also be read that practising pens has paid off? Don't see the link to Crowley at all. And his commitment and effort has never been questioned

Weirdly I'm still not super grateful and in awe of being given the glorious opportunity by the world famous West Bromwich Albion of having a 17 year old player on loan. It's almost like PL academy football is nowhere near as competitive and difficult as proper men's professional football is. Sounds weird, I know, but he might not be the next Messi and PL children might not actually be better than grown pros.
Just putting this all out there. It must be frustrating watching little old Oxford fail to realise his brilliance despite his complete inability to impact football games.

Won't cut it fair enough people here think he has a future At 17 loans fail let him train with our first team like Leko and Field. Appleton requested him back so what does this say about your January budget?

I like Roberts and I think he'll be a good addition to the squad for the rest of the season should he stay on. Appleton and the coaching team must rate him so that's good enough for me.

Like many at his age and development stage, he needs to beef up a bit and also learn to accept that you cannot go round every defender. He has shown some skills and will probably go on to have a career but his last two outings have been against opposition that don't take prisoners. Out muscled all night at Macclesfield and ran into a brick wall against Oldham. Wrong games for him. Reminds me, in a way, of O'Dowda early days, lots of talent but too lightweight to make any of it count. Season later and COD was bigger, stronger and had a real impact. Question therefore is, as he is not our player, do we invest time and money making him better for someone else?

Question therefore is, as he is not our player, do we invest time and money making him better for someone else? Exactly my thoughts. Unless he suddenly blossoms in the second half of the season we will have invested a considerable amount of time into him without much reward. I can see the point of the 'getting young loan players in' approach (Jonjo Kenny, Robbie Hall first time) but they have to have a pretty immediate impact to make it worthwhile in the short term. Some are wrong'uns (Crowley obviously), some aren't ready for pretty high level senior football. Roberts is only 17 and he might well fall into the second category. Don't get me wrong, I think he has done OK in general - but I'm just not sure he is ready. It looks like Appleton has seen something more than we have though as he wants him to stay and I am sure we's all trust his judgement. Of course, actually signing young players who we develop for the benefit of both the player and OUFC is a very different kettle of fish. If he was our player, there is more than enough there to justify persevering with him.

The clubs spend millions on shiny, wodrous facilities. And it produces pampered and preened players who have it all too easy and don't know graft or physicality. Compare that to the French model. Theuir academies are run on much saller budgets. they don't have the modcons, they go to away games in minibuses. they play against men. What annoys me most, however, is exactly what you sre alluding to R. It's the arrogane of the PL clubs and their supporters. Their little starlets will easily be good for little old Oxford or other Lge 1 Lge 2 clubs. As if the level is beneath them. Well, it's not. Roofe was an outlier. Roberts, Morrison, Crowley are more like the norm. Nothing against those players personally but the system they have been brought up in has left them woefully short of cutting it in men's footy. Said it when Roberts signed. I'll say it 'till blue in the face. Against Merstham and Macc, Roberts looked hopelessly out of his depth. He can learn elsewhere thanks.

Appleton comes to us, because, we don't charge Loan fee to him since he was injuried at ours and then spent nearly 10 years running our academy, After all thefe 40 odd other team above you, why don't why dson't you approach them for loans. Thing is those cost money. Lets talk about loans Roofe had five different loans both aboard and at home. He was utter crap in 4 them, only being good in the Dev squad and the 6 in 16 at Oxford. Out of that you got a decent striker. This time round you get Roberts a couple of days before the Jay Rodriguez collapsed. With the loss of Sessegnon, Anichebe and Lambert. Only Berahino and Rondon are the only true forward have, So now we're are the big bad guys. Forcing a player on a little Oxford when both times the loan contract stated he comes back for 2 Dev games playing beside Rondon he scores in one and twice in the other being MOTM. You really haven't done us "favours" on this loan This is the thing we haven't seen the things you have. At Oxford there is no big forward he can play off. It was mistake to loan him in my opinion. He could of learnt more on our subs bench with Leko and Field. At 17 plenty of time to beef up

I actually said that I saw the point of such loans. Some young players can make the step up quicker than others (and no, dev matches are not the same thing. At all.). Tyler looks - from actually seeing him play for us - like he may need another year or so. That isn't a criticism of him or of your club. But in our situation as far as loan players are concerned we need them to be ready to play first team football or at least be capable of developing sufficiently within the loan period to make a difference for us. And yes, we have approached other teams above us in the pyramid for loans recently. Arsenal, Wolves and Everton for example. And they all said yes.

And a Cheltenham fan say he was a shining light in a terrible team for the 10 or so games he was there. You can't just say "he was utter crap" without knowing what you're on about, and expect to get away with it.

To be fair I've seen that as well but I also saw Cheltenham fans laughing their tits off when we signed him as he was rubbish for them. All opinion but the fact I think he's trying to make was roofe never scored loads and got all the plaudits on those loans till he came here. Tyler is a lot younger than roofe and hasn't had anywhere near the game time, could be a great player, but we've seen so far this season that this league is a step up even for our younger players who were excellent last term like lunny, therefore even harder for players like Roberts and Crowley who while decent at under 23 level are finding it difficult against much better defensive players. I think we maybe need to be looking at loans more like roofe where there is a decent chance we will get to keep the players, or players like rothwell that are surplus to requirements and wanting first team football, who when they do get game time we then develop them for our own gains, then use the transfer window to get slightly older more experienced loans who can't get game time like baldock

Mr Baggs, we still don't see much in Tyler Roberts. Really I'd rather put the time into James Roberts, he's our player and has scored some good goals for the first team. We'll quite likely play West Brom in a couple of years, maybe Tyler will be in your team by then. BTW who is Leko? Another youth team player?

We'll quite likely play West Brom in a couple of years, maybe Tyler will be in your team by then. BTW who is Leko? Another youth team player? Jonathan Leko, Sam Field and Tyler Roberts graduated from the Academy last year Pulis recommended Peace sign all three to professional contracts. They made their first teams debuts last 3 premier games of last season. Leko 10 first team appearences this season Including an assist against Stoke. The Idea was to have the three rotate beteween U23 and the Subs Bench. After the release and sale of Sessegnon, Anichebe and Lambert We were well on the way to sign Jay Rodriguez from Southampton. That's when Appleton asked for the loan of an attacking player so we loaned Roberts. The sale of the club resulted in the collapse of the Rodriguez deal. Leaving us short, though he is a likely target for the January window. As I've said before if Roberts hasn't settled. Hopefully, we'll continue with this plan includung him for the rest of this season.

Meeting about his future is on Tuesday. Looked at his Twitter cracking Leko goal Yet again looked totally out of his depth today. Won't cut it I haven't completely given up on him but he needs to show something. Like anything. I will gladly have egg on my face if he turns into superstar but I haven't seen anything to suggest he would make it as a pro yet never mind the premier league. He needs to learn basics and quickly.
