Love reading everyones thoughts and comments.
Enjoyed the series though I do think if you enjoy the series - (and like to read) - you do miss out by not taking that step. I guess I mean the TV show is good to watch but the books are different level of enjoyment.
Have you seen the reactions to the RW on You Tube? If not - do it. It is classic. There was some form of fans agreement (I guess of some website) to film reactions (some secretely and some openly) - and it is comedy gold.

Also, don't just start off on a later book because you've watched the TV series, START FROM THE BEGINNING!

Still can't thinking of episode 9, series 3 where Rob Stark, his wife and Mum get killed. Didn't see that coming. So many twists and turns. Plenty of tits and fanny as well!

For those that can't wait, Sky are simulcasting the US broadcast. Presumably to reduce the piracy from those that cannot wait

Asia sees it before UK, I will post on here what happens. I thought you said it aired over there on the 13th? It's on the 7th over here (at 9pm for anyone who isn't crazy enough to get up at 2am for the simulcast). Although I don't think knowing what happens is the main driver for those of us that have read the books!

I was a late comer to Game of Thrones. I saw them filming last September in Dubrovnik and decided I'd see what lots of people have been talking about. I downloaded the first 3 series from Sky demand and watched them back to back, finishing last week. I've just watched the first episode of series 4, it's fantastic. I'm still finding it a bit confusing with the different lands and large cast. I can't wait for Joffrey's wedding. My favourite characters are Tyrion Lannister and the Dragon lady.

Started watching GOT when S2 was finished. So been watching last two "live". I still get confused on who's who and where there from. Khaleesi is my fave too Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards

They introduced even more characters last night. And changed actors on or two people as well. And you will see even more lands as time goes on. There is a new one on the series trailer, and there is another based on a character we saw last night.
I can't wait to see where they take this series vs the books. That ep was almost a this is where are now, the series begins properly next week.

Daario has changed - the other actor went off and did something else. The mountain has changed again, but we didn't see him. I'm sure there is another as well.

What actors changed? I thought Jamie Lannister had changed, but he's still the same. I thought exactly the same thing - even went online to check, but apparently it's still Nicholai Coster-Waldau. The bloke looks completely different. Joffrey's wedding next week, do we think? That's going to be fun.

Has anyone watched the preview of season 4? Some of the actors have quite different accents. Joffrey is an Irish lad!

Her accent in real life is rather posh! Tyrion is a septic in real life.
