I'll get the ball rolling with this one. Think it will be a tough game but given the result we had against Birmingham and Peterborough in the league I think we could snatch this one. Can't see the score being as tragic as in pre season either. I'm going 2-1 to the team in yellow. Hemming a is due a goal and Maguire is full of confidence.

Can't be there by t will be there in spirit would be nice to get a result but given Brighton are one of the favourites for promotion and how they trounced us in pre season I do not expect to be in the hat for the next round, but I'm sure the boys will fight all the way

With all the will in the world I still think they will be too strong for us. But this is Oxford of course, you just never know...

Don't forget we were up against a team a league above Brighton in Swansea last season and we beat them comfortably. Yes it was with a different nucleus to the team but we still have some talented players and we're still Oxford United. Think Maguire will have a blinder as well he always notches it up a level for the bigger games.

They do have a strong squad that was evident in the pre season against them. I have never seen so many subs used in a friendly, seemed even their coach driver was roped in and he played quite well.
A win would be nice, but pretty obvious we will rest a few. Think they will be too good for us, but hope for the best

Think we go for this one. The potential revenue from a win and a big cup draw in the next round would do the transfer funds a world of good. Do it for Marvin!

2-1 too us we can't afford to take this game too ET with Sheffield United not playing tonight. Skarz will be back on the left and Dunkley and Martin in the Middle! Can see Rothwell getting the start aswell because he'll need to start at some point.

Really not bothered as long as we have a good go at it.
I'd take a bit of a battering in exchange for a win at Sheffield.

I'd like us to put out as unchanged a team as we can - for me, the more time the players have together on the pitch in a proper match situation the better as I feel the understanding isn't there yet.
It's going to be even more important tonight to actually keep the ball when we have it (especially in midfield), so I'd like to see less of those 15 yard chips forward that seem to do very little apart from concede possession.
If we lose tonight, I'd rather we did so in normal time.

I think we can win this one, given the confidence from Saturday and that they look to be playing a young side. I'd rather the game is settled in 90mins.

Sounds as if they will field a weakened team - while Mapp is keen to play the same eleven that started the match on Saturday. IF they take us lightly we will have a good chance of avenging the pre-season rout, just hoping we steer clear of anymore injuries- and it's settled in 90 minutes.
So, it's more likely to be a bruising affair that goes into ET and penalties!

I know you can pay on the night but the online ticket map suggests a very low crowd tonight. Even central areas look pretty empty.

I'm not going. Can't be arsed and would rather spend my cash elsewhere. With the ST going up, my footie cash has gone down a bit this year

I'd be astounded if we won this one. Brighton have been tilting towards a serious title bid in the Championship for a couple of seasons now and I think this could be the season for them. They're a very good outfit.
I just hope for no injuries and a decent performance to boost confidence that shows hallmarks of us gelling further. If we win, all the better!

It depends what side they put out to how well we'll do. This. We're not likely to beat their first team. But if they put out a complete U23 side, then we'll be in with a really good shout.

Strong squad. Rothwell and Roberts for Maguire and MacDonald, whilst Long comes in for Edwards.
Meanwhile it looks like Brighton have made 11 changes to their starting squad against Reading.
Let's have em!

Hate to bet against the might of Oxford United but 13/10 on Brighton with William Hill has got to be worth a couple of quid surely.
Maybe the ease in which they won preseason will count against them but I reckon they're overpriced at anything over 4/5.
