So what do people think? I would love a win but would be happy with a draw. Scunny so far have drawn all their games in league and cup (won on penalties against Notts County). They have a couple of injury doubts but look dangerous in attack although this season with big Mike at the back I really don't get too worried about other teams strikers. Look how Pittman was dealt with last weekend.
I think we might just sneak it 2-1 (Gino and Payne) with 600 Yellows travelling.
For line up I would go with:
Eastwood Ribeiro, Nelson, Williamson, Silva Ledson, Ruffles Henry, Payne, Hall Thomas
Subs: Shearer, Martin, Carroll, Xemi, GvK, Hemmings, Obika

Unless a transfer is very imminent I would expect him to start. With maybe Pep saying, the club will not entertain a low offer, if you want to move on go out there and show them what you are worth. It's only a bus ride for their scouts after all. Apart from Johnson for Hall, that's the team I reckon will start.

I'd have thought [Barring injuries/transfers!] Pep will start with the same eleven who began last weeks match at home to Portsmouth, and hopefully grind Scunthorpe down before unleashing GvK and Robbie Hall for the last third of the match. Might well be a change of plan/s should either us or them take a two goal lead. No doubting this will be a real test for the U's, but one they are more than capable of taking something from.
Scunny 0 Yellows 1.

I'd take a point but we're more than good enough to get all 3, think it'll be same team unless the Marvin rumours are true in which case I think Hall coming in for him

Based on the second half performance against Pompey I'd play:

Biggest test of the season tomorrow. Oldham will struggle this season and Pompey yet to adapt to League one so can't read too much into how we'll fare this season until after tomorrow.
If take a point.

Based on the second half performance against Pompey I'd play: I think that Pep would be surprised at how many supporters seem to not rate Henry. I would be very surprised if he doesn't start. Johnson or Hall depending on how close Johnson is to Hull ..

I think 1-1 with the following squad:
Eastwood Ribeiro Nelson Williamson Ricardinho Henry Ledson Ruffels Hall Payne Thomas
Shearer, Martin, Carroll, Rothwell, van Kessel, Hemmings, Obika
I don't think Johnson will be in the squad, personally. It's not about him belonging to us, it's about if he's mentally capable of being involved and if the manager thinks his mood is right to be around the squad on the day. If he thinks he's not right in the head for any reason he may not want him around. That doesn't have to mean anything regarding attitude or fallings out, it could just mean he thinks his head isn't in the game. Could be wrong but I'd be shocked to see him.

Even without Johnson it shows how strong our squad is when I don't actually think we would miss him if Hall or GvK came in to replace him.

After the fog last year, I'm looking forward to being able to see the full length of the pitch tomorrow!
1-1
Hall late equaliser.
No johnson in Squad, Pep to confirm post-match that he is off.

Only one win at Glanford Park. Considering Scunny should be aiming for the playoffs again this time around, perhaps a draw would be deemed a good result.
You never know though. Fingers crossed.

Closest game of the season for The Lincoln Yellows, 25 miles up the A15....... Unfortunately booked myself, a minibus and 9 family members before the fixtures came out to go to Market Rasen races and see The Kaiser Chiefs playing live afterwards, so no go for the short journey for us...... Gutted.... Anyway, if we can produce the same levels of the 2nd half performance as we did last Saturday against Portsmouth then that could and should be enough to stay unbeaten and with our mean defenders stifling the home strikers the 3 points could be making their way back to Oxfordshire..... A low scoring game with the yellows shading it by the odd goal.....
Scunthorpe United - 0 OXFORD UNITED - 1 (Wes Thomas)
Att - 4487 (674 yellows) (Should have been 679 yellows)
