Very interesting article. agree : I'd thought Pep was pretty much a cheap option as a first time managing in England, but it sounds like he has done his apprenticeship over the years with Gary Monk and is ready for the challenge. What I do wonder is how well Faz will work with him. Also how the club's trading model will continue given the signings seem to be a bit more experienced, rather than raw talent waiting to be developed and given game time. Though even Appleton had said we needed more experience in the team this year.

Marv is "comfortable at left back", apparently… Last season he did have quite a few games at left back where he was comfortable. As an aside, Pompey's disallowed goal by Brett Pitman was rightly disallowed as it was a clear push. My view of it was from the East Stand just on the left hand side behind the goal.
