I would say that which is coming out of your bottom is just talk.
You must be a Baldockophant
Ribs had a solid 90 mins. In fact If Williamson hadn't been so good I would have given either him or Ric. MOM for their all round effort.
Gino looked like he can only get better as I thought he was carrying a bit of timber .
Gino reminded me of Romario when he swaggered through on goal. Low centre of gravity, barrel chested and a big backside. And of course the arrogant finish! Can't say I noticed his arse

Very happy I was proved wrong with the result!
I agree with previous comments that Williamson was excellent and made the difference we need at the back. Although I think it was a penalty to them in the second half and their disallowed goal could have easily been allowed on a different day. It's worrying that he may not be able to play as much as we'd like due to fitness issues, as the defence without him was all at sea on Tuesday.
Ricardinho had a very worrying start but definitely improved as the game went on. I'm not sure he was truly tested as I thought Portsmouth were surprisingly average most of the game and poor towards the end. Let's see what the next game does for him.
Ribeiro looked a different player (compared to versus Cheltenham), Van Kessel obviously did well in his brief spell, Ruffels is really improving and Thomas did what he does well too. Payne is going to be an asset if we manage to keep him the whole season.
Meanwhile Johnson didn't really get going even in his preferred position and I thought Henry didn't really achieve much even though he had plenty of the ball. Nelson needs to own the Captain role, as he appears to be living in Williamson shadow too much.
Overall a great result, good second half performance, but against a surprisingly average Portsmouth team. We put away our chances very well, although it would have been better if we had created a few more of them.
I just hope the guys keep proving me wrong all season!

"the ever-rampaging Christian Ribeiro" Nah, he's shit forever because he had a bad game against Cheltenham I don't think anyone's said he will shit because of it. But it was debatable if he was actually even a professional footballer Tuesday. Yesterday much better, seemed to be much more comfortable and not trying to hard. Still need to practice his throwing though 😉

Even Eastwood kept kicking the ball to the other goalkeeper.

Both looked like they had never played a game before. 5 yard passes and even throwing a ball seemed impossible tasks. As I said I think ribs was just trying so hard to impress that it was playing on his mind. Every time he made a mistake he tried harder to make up for it and made it worse. Saturday he looked much more comfortable, should probably take him off throws though

Well just arrived back in Cornwall (had night out after the match) thought it was a fantastic match really enjoyable. Ricardinho (is that his name) I thought was outstanding and a great goal by the Dutch guy and a good atmosphere. Liked Ribiero too. I felt pretty confident we would win at the end of the first half. Some players performances weren't consistent throughout the whole match but the range for me was good, really good and outstanding. Was well worth the M5 queues in both directions. Really cannot understand any negativity or why anyone would not be supportive of the direction the club is taking?

First half wasn't great. I don't think we had a shot on goal. Second half we came out of the blocks like a different team. We played some great incisive attacking football and looked a class above at times. Whatever Pep said at half time seemed to do the trick.

So Sunday evening and I hope we've all calmed down a bit. But I have a question.
Are we still top of the league?

I thought the ref had a good game yesterday, never really noticed him and let the game flow, strong on the big decisions as well. Which one? Never noticed

Really good atmosphere in the east stand Saturday, loved the gino gino gino chant. A Barnstorming second half by the boys just swept them away and we could have scored more. Ricardinho!! Looks decent on that performance.

Saturday he looked much more comfortable, should probably take him off throws though I will go against the grain on Ribs performance Tuesday night, I think at the end he become the scapegoat for the frustrations of the fans in the defeat, It was the amount of the ball he had that highlighted him,, there was very little movement up top that was indicated but the constant passing across the back then hoofing it, so he started to try and make runs and inject action going forward, yes he lost the ball as the forwards were just stood there watching him trying to make things happen, when Payne came on he was ineffective because again Cheltnumb were pressing high and he couldn't find an outlet or through ball for the statues up top, Ribs took the throw ins and 3 of our players showed no movement or inclination to create a bit of space to receive the ball, he wasn't great by no means but the whole team had an off day against a better organised team who did a good job on us, we have a group of players trying to learn new systems and get used to each others play.
