Can't understand anyone being bitter at him, always gave his all and seemed a model pro on and off the pitch, I hope he does really well and he deserves our thanks for being a massive part of getting us up Spot on. He had a chance to step up a division after he had done well for us, as you say a model pro and we got a good fee for him. That is/was our model so the bitterness from some is very strange. How many on here would turn down a nice pay rise for doing the same job, as for him it is his job?

As with Roofe and O'Dowda, I hope he goes on to have a great career and gets bought for £10m.

He's made his bed, now he can lie in it. Agree with these sentiments but put this way seems a bit harsh. It's up to him but I had always thought he was a bit on the slow side & Championship sides can really ping it about. Best of luck to him but he's gone now we have the money so let's move on/

O sensitive souls, I already posted good luck to him on here and I gave him a bag of swedes (southrons like you call turnips) for the long slow walk into Wilders bosom.

So it is not just some Oxford fans who write players off after one appearance.

Anyone else watching the game? I know he had a slow (pun intended) start for us and he's playing PL team but has seemed v.poor and SUFC fans not happy. Perhaps Mapp got in his head before KO?

How much did we get for him again? They seem to think they only gave us a couple of hundred thousand, 300k max?

Their forum is very much like this one. Jump in quick with complaints and don't give him time to settle. Let's see what they say after another 7 or 8 games.

One of them says they should loan him back to us. He wouldn't get anywhere near the team now.

It's a strange signing for them in a way because it seems he's going to be a sub for them quite often, which doesn't really suit him. It can take him some time to get into games and get into a rhythm with his passing, but when he does he can boss a game. If he starts and they're patient with him it has better chance of working out.
I think right now we might be more balanced, but I don't know about better. Not sure that Ruffels or Ledson can dictate the flow of a game like Lunny could, but then Ruffels provides much more of a goal threat advancing forward. Maybe even? As said above though, time will tell.

Lundstram scored 4 goals in 104 games for us. Ruffels has scored 4 in his last 7. There's no doubt who boasts the bigger goal threat.

Oh no when I said maybe even, I meant overall, not in terms of goalscoring talent. Like it's a toss up between dictating play better and providing a greater goal threat. My bad.

He would walk straight back into his spot in centre midfield why would he??? Because he's a far, far superior player to Ruffels? That'd be my guess anyway
