Those ITK are perfectly aware of the REAL reason for the recent sales of Skarz, MacDonald, McAleny and Maguire... And the REAL reason was? Or have I just been wooshed for not reading much of the previous 20 pages? Just whooshed for not reading the post I quoted.

I think you have put 2 and 2 together and got 1278953.
The comments from Sercombe is nothing but praising his mates and arranging to meet up with them.
I never said he wasn't praising them? It's a simple obversation that maybe he and lunny were very pally and since he departed lunny may of decided to jump ship also. (The things you don't know) 👍 But thankyou for your response, I will be sure to respond to any useless comments you make on here also. You're post count is going to go up rapidly

It's all so bloody sickening..if they knew so much about him they certainly didn't think of recruiting him from Everton!

Can assume Wilder has a few decent scouts now, rather than the old approach of if you've played well against his team or played for him before you get signed.

They travel the country in strange boats that you push along with long poles. I forget what they're called... Unfortunately for us they're most common in Oxfordshire.

I think it's Knill who seems more appropriate for the 'chippy' nickname. As I understand it he was very 'chippy' with Mapp on Northampton's first meeting with his Oxford team.

I didn't like reading that too be honest, it's a big step up for him but I think he could do it but needs time to shine. He started both seasons slow with us but picked it up after. Just hope the fans don't get on his back up there.

The biggest challenge he faces is the one it's hardest for him to meet: lack of pace.
He's a very talented footballer, who, if he had more favourable genetics, would grace the top-flight.
But he hasn't and he won't. I hope he works out a style/role that compensates for lack of speed.

Agree with grenoble, he was no different for us. But I think the step up to the Championship is much bigger than many on these forums realise. We currently have three players (Eastwood, Nelson and Payne) who are Championship quality - and one of those will be off in January.

We have absolutely no idea how many Championship-quality players we have yet, as we have so many untried newbies, many of whom have played at comparable or higher standards albeit in Europe. Hall, Henry and Williamson have all played a chunk of their careers at that level, Johnson, Ledson and Carroll are clearly headed there. Am not sure why you'd be so disparaging of this squad and its potential!

But I think we need to be realistic about the quality required for the step up a league. And yes, I should have included Ledson.

I never claim to be ITK but I've heard that Payne will return to Huddersfield if he has a good half season here. I'd say that's likely (but I'm an eternal pessimist).

And of course therein lies the problem with loanees who have a January recall clause.
If Payne really shines in that central position he will become a very important player for us and will then disappear in January. If he doesn't do very well, we will be allowed to keep him!

Can't understand anyone being bitter at him, always gave his all and seemed a model pro on and off the pitch, I hope he does really well and he deserves our thanks for being a massive part of getting us up
