We need a playmaker now. Is Xemi the answer or is it too soon for him? Rothwell will be the one to step up this season.. Looked a very good prospect last season and was crying out at times to be played through the middle.. He's my tip to be the star of the season..

Really good luck to the lad and a big thanks for his excellent contribution to our cause.
Can't believe he would be happy with a place on their bench though!
Must have been the pull of CW with his tremendous win ratio which is on an upward projection.
Halifax 38.5% Oxford Utd 45.0% Northampton 48.4% Sheffield Utd 61.5%

O'Dowda forced his move though didn't he? Hmmmm. What do you think would have happened if OUFC had simply turned down the approach and ordered him into training once his "illness" was over? Let's put it this way, I don't think that OUFC is altogether upset when a club comes in and offers money for a player. It is then - and I speak as a PR man here, so praising not criticising - very much the right thing for OUFC to do to ascribe the player leaving to "we couldn't stand in his way", as opposed to "frankly, we were delighted to get some cash into the bank at a slow time of year".... To be fair O'Dowda is a text book example of how a player, arguably still a league 2 one then as well, is in the power seat and can force their exit at any time. That was the point I was addressing. Besides we already had the proceeds from the Roofe sale to rely on then too, so there wasn't a desperate need to sell him financially at least. I'd also argue that if we kept some of these players then we might well be in the Championship ourselves now. Put it this way if we had been promoted last season I think Lundstram, Mapp, Maguire and McAleny would almost certainly have still been here too.

There should be no reason to panic IF - a big if? - money is now reinvested into the squad.

Now: no. A few games into the season: possibly. By Xmas: probably. Based on the briefest appearances in 1 PSG Based on the fact that a manager/coach with more football nous in his little finger than you have, brought him over here from Spain to play in a team he had just taken over.

ibb.co/nidTLQClick on the link, hopefully it works. Just putting two and two together, we all knew Lunny and baldock were pally but the comments from sercombe are interesting. Maybe ever since the day sercombe was no longer a part of the squad lunny decided to not renew his contract. Dunks has also liked the post (and ruffs).. probs nothing in it but it's quite interesting.

I assume that we will hear from Lundstrom soon. When a deal suddenly happens a player hardly has time to say 'goodbye'.
Lundstrom did very well at Oxford, but he had a great start to his first team career at Oxford as well. Two trips to Wembley, playing 100 games in two seasons, being made Captain at what 23-24.
Oh and even getting a freebie to Portugal before going almost as soon as he got back!
Hopefully he looks back with a lot of fondness at OUFC.

Interesting that he picked out as one of the highlights was that first game against scum. I take it that was the giant flag ox spearing robin game. We really rocked that night!

£700,000 apparently, a lot better than the £400,000 touted around here a few days ago. Thats a decent bit of wedge for a league 1 player with less than 12 months left on his contract......

Even at £700k they have got a bargain and they know it. Best midfielder I've seen since Magilton.

I never said he wasn't praising them? It's a simple obversation that maybe he and lunny were very pally and since he departed lunny may of decided to jump ship also. (The things you don't know) 👍 But thankyou for your response, I will be sure to respond to any useless comments you make on here also.
