I got a feeling the next manager will not be appointed by Mr Eales Do you mean Juan Satori, or do you mean the Administrators? Or another?

Why would anyone decent take this job, when a man who's on record as saying "as long as my ambition is matched, there'll be no problem" is leaving?
Look past Appleton and look to the root cause of this betrayal. Yep, it's a betrayal of all those who, like me, have lapped up everything Eales has fed us and worshipped at the alter of his personality cult.
Why would anyone capable of matching, or bettering, Appleton's achievements be interested in the job? It needs resources to do that and I don't believe they're available.
If L1 survival is all we have the funds for, just tell us. We can take it and Oxford fans will rally around a common cause. Spin a story of Championship ambitions as the infrastructure of the Club is dismantled, and watch as the faithful turn on their man.
The next manager will be cheap or desperate. Maybe both.

Has anyone considered that perhaps the news early next week may be a little surprising, and the decision for MAPP to either stay or go, along with our recruitment etc no longer lies with DE or MAPP?
I am bracing myself for the worst...parting with 330.00 in return for losing a good manager, some good players, and a bundle of confidence in us continuing our progression. That would be dogsh1t and I would go in to a state of football mourning but a small part of me continues to believe that there is another twist to all of this....

I wonder if we will just be looking at out of work managers or may consider someone that's already in a job, judging by the possible budget problems we are hearing about i guess maybe not. If we did then someone like Uwe Rosler may be decent (i'm sure plenty may argue otherwise though!)

God it's depressing reading this thread.
Let's hope tomorrow brings some clarification so we can begin to move on.
JFH would be a like-for-like replacement. Plays football the right way and has experience getting a team out of League 1.

I would like the next managerial appointment to be based purely on the criteria that his name fits the Toni Martinez song

Maybe we've all just misunderstood the situation.
Set your alarms for 6am, we've actually signed Luis hernandez for free, after Shakespeare said he wants to give Mapp his number 2!
Get in !!

He could certainly did at Southampton with two promotions then they promptly fired him. Wasn't the quality of football not as good as Saints wanted?

Whoever Sartori has pre-chosen will be the next manager. Then all other off the field positions will be filled by his people.

Maybe the talks have been continuing in secrecy? If not, then DE surely re-approached Juan with a weakened hand.
