Can't be, when this was mentioned weeks ago it was just coincidence that he happened to turn up to a cold midweek game in England . And people with an anti de agenda storing things. After all he had no contact remember

Looks like a deal is done.
God I hope DE stays. I would prefer as a shareholder but at minimum as a chairman. These deals don't fascinate me as much as they do other people. I'm usually a fairly positive poster but there are more Leyton Orient's and Coventry's than there are Bournemouth's.

Don't think of it that way then. Look at it that this is the club moving to the next step. De has said he doesn't have the money to move us forward, the rumours suggest he may be even tighter for money than he was. It's not like this guy has come out of the blue, he was invited by people who love oufc with Darryls blessing. And Christ if he can get the stadium back at the same time, give mapp a budget that can not only bring in new stars but keep the existing and re introduce pre match coffee in the lounges. Then woo hoo

The point being Darryl doesn't have to sell if he doesn't want/need to. Would u rather be in a position where there is an owner willing to buy club and ground, or no one ? Who would be a good person ?

Timing is critical, deal needs to be done quickly to give the manager an opportunity to plan for next season, let's hope that Appleton is that manager. Not sure what to think about the stadium talks with Kassam.

Given his father in law owns Monaco, and they have a similar (but much more successful) player trading model, I wonder if their will be any crossover? We take young players for a season before they move on to Monaco for instance.

Well Venkys is a company and isn't SISU controlled by an Englishman? point being I don't care about nationality, I care about moneymen taking control of the club when DE has done nothing but a good job so far. Maybe people forget how enviable a position we are in right now.

It would be worse if all the good he has done was wasted as we don't have the finance to push forward ? We can't even raise the budget by 4 places with out a 15% rise in ticket prices to fund it. I hope Darryl stays in some format, but seeing it was him that did all this good, do u not trust him when he said himself that he needs and is looking for help to fund us. Or if not to sell to a suitable person ?

I assume we won't be seeing sartori at most of the games, celebrating in the terraces with the fans, regularly buying us food and drink at the grounds, spending the time to chat with us, holding Facebook and radio chats alongside the manager to answer our questions. I'd love to be proven wrong on that one, but what I'd love even more is another crack at League One with the current regime in charge.

Well who knows if the deal is done he may ask DE to stay on or maybe with CM and Lunny saying cryptic messages above it working with MAPP would be pivotal in them staying, maybe they have known for son time, but then again would Satori want to take on a club that may not have the staff and players here ready to mount a serious promotion challenge.

Not forgetting many didn't want Darryl here when he was announced ! Asset stripping devil Birmingham fan who wouldn't be at games . Maybe wait and see and judge the guy on his actual actions. And yes de personally has says he needs and was looking for a backer m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38719775

Not forgetting many didn't want Darryl here when he was announced ! Asset stripping devil Birmingham fan who wouldn't be at games . Maybe wait and see and judge the guy on his actual actions. I'm not sure that 'many' is fair. I think most of us were sceptical (and based on some football club owners/chairmen that is a perfectly healthy position to take!) but hopeful. I'm not sure ANYONE foresaw just how decent DE would turn out to be, both personally and for the club. If Sartori ends up owning us, who knows what the situation would be with DE, with the ground etc. Again personally, I'd be both sceptical and hopeful again!
