That was as bad as we have seen at home for quite a while. Dunks and skarz were caught in the wrong place so many times. Sinclair totally dominated the middle and in fact the game. It's a slip up, no need to panic or anything I'm sure they will get a rocket up them. As for the ref, let far more go then booked people for lesser offences, didn't see half the incidents so just guessed. Not the reason we lost but didn't help. Thought raglan did ok didn't miss 1 header. Just lacked any flair. Motm I would probably have gone mcAleny.

Poor old Raglan ..also on the thick end of that 2-0 rubbish at Shrewsbury...no options on the bench today to speak of and if people mention the kids out on loan one more time ..I'll.....even more investment in the squad numbers please

Very poor performance today. Not ourselves. I felt Lunny and Ledson were pretty poor today. There normally so influential, but today they had a bad day at the office it has to be said. I also thought Raglan was poor, and Dunkley missed his commanding team mate in Nelson today. Very dissapointing result, but half expected it. Was never going to be easy missing 4 key players. I didn't think Rovers were much cop if I'm honest. I just thought we made them look good, because of how poor we were today.
Good crowd for the yellows, but deserved better. Thought the rovers fans were very vocal and decent numbers. Fair play to them!! both teams safe, and can prepare for next season.

I thought we were very poor today and that's an understatement. As poor as we were we were not helped by an inept performance from the referee and his linesman It seemed that the Oxford players have one eye on Wembley as there were a number of instances where a tackle should have been made and it simply wasn't. East stand seemed like a morgue. Join OxVox www.oxvox.org.uk/join-oxvox/

Big crowd against a team around us in league, not a good combo. Even in the run in last season we lost to rovers Northampton and accy. Just blessed we have such great away form

Atmosphere is normally driven by what happens on the pitch...... then it becomes a two way thing....

Couldn't believe how many fans left before the final whistle today. The players didn't deserve that. Yes they did..
I thought Appleton could have tried something second half to be honest...
Perhaps give Ribs a run out on the right wing back position where his pace may have been a threat and push Edwards across.
I thought Dunkley was poor and after his booking was ineffective.
I didn't think the Officials were that bad to be honest
We looked very jaded and it was a clear case of after the Lord Mayors show.
I also think Rovers were one of the better teams we will play this season.

We couldn't cope with their hustle and bustle early on and it was like we were playing with a hangover. Far too many players wanting an eternity on the ball and not willing to be aggressive. The second goal was awful, passive, collective defending. It was far too easy for them to score and it should not have been.
The officials collectively were the pits. The Ref was woeful and so far behind the game, he was unable to see half of what went on. The only consistent thing about him was his inconsistency. While we bore the brunt of the bad decisions, both sides were affected by him spending a lot of time in and around the centre circle and not seemingly having the legs to follow the game.
The player we missed most was Nelson today. Dunkley looks a better player and Raglan rightly took time to get to speed. While it doesn't look good for the injured players on Tuesday, we could be a lot harder to beat than we were today.

They bullied us through fair means and foul and the referee was seemingly unable to tell the difference between either. Having said that, we barely strung two passes together all game with our get out ball lnvariably lumped up in the air. We never got it down with the width and movement to open them up and create scoring chances. All in, a hard game to take any joy from. No time to dwell on it, we are back out there again on tuesday.

Every team that "bullies us" from the off seems to win......... I`ve worked that out. I like to think Mapp & Co have done the same.
To coin a phrase..... "We go again"..

Wembley is a bonus, it would have been nice to make the play offs but let's. e honest we don't have the squad. If we haven't got the squad then don't take the competition seriously. Certainly don't risk injury's in these games Change the record, you're seriously boring now.

Poor. Inept. Shapeless. What happened there? The cynic in me suggests that we lost our focus in the build up to this game after Wednesday. I'm sorry if that offends anyone. Terrible record against the teams who came up with us. Fifth loss in a row now against those teams. Not happy. But it's Wembley our target for the season. We certainly aren't scoring enough although that upset some people on here when I last discussed it Isn't it something like 76 goals this season?

We're all in need of therapy at the moment. So, let's look at it like this. At the start of the season, if you were told that we'd finish in the top half and get to Wembley again, would you have taken it? I bloody would have. And we ain't finished in the league yet, anyway................

Could have done with at least one attacking option on the bench, just to shake it up a bit - shame they've only just sent Roberts and Graham out on loan, would have been good for one of them to have had a run out if nothing else Neither are still here because neither is anywhere near good enough. As the guy on the phone in said, we simply don't have enough of squad players that could slot into the team, when we have injuries. Players such as Ruffles. The minute we end up with a couple of injuries, we cant fill a bench.
You cannot include youth as part of squad numbers, and then tell everyone we have a squad of 21 players, as we did last summer.
Simply put this is the reason we wont be able to sustain a promotion push, our squad is 3 players short of being a proper sized squad.

Not a shock and nothing to do with Wembley. We have 1 win in our last 7 home leagues and 1 goal in our last 5. So just a continuation of the same old rubbish we are being served up by Appleton. Our away form and good cup results have disguised the fact that we are not very good. We can't play against teams which close us down and refuse to let us play. Plan B needed?

Disappointing bit its not the end of the world. For some reason I expected that today. Agreed. We are lightweight vs direct teams. Pitch doesn't help our style either. Plus injuries.

The 'guy on the phone' called Paul certainly likes the sound of his own voice, comes on after every match and bores us all with his repetitive, negative, knee jerk waffle. A few weeks ago he was demanding we moved to Wycombe, then claiming that Mr Appleton was arrogant. Where do Radio Oxford get them from, must be desperate.🤡

Mapp had to rebuild the team for 16/17, players that came in then got injured etc. To date we have had a grt season, pity pitch isn't helping, and injuries back again, due to success on the pitch

We cant afford to get promoted. And that was never a real target for 16/17. Today was disappointing. But pitch and playing direct teams plus nelson, mags out equals perfect storm and a brfc win. Its one match. Pls everyone put it in perspective.

That's a big strain on a squad, especially when we decided to go with quality rather quantity. I think the hope was players like ash yesterday and Roberts would be pushing for a place more

Disappointing performance, disappointing result and a frankly embarrassing reaction by some on here!!
Hopefully we'll get back on track on Tuesday with a win that silences the usual ones on here.

We were poor today, but felt this was mainly down to tiredness and coming up against a team who play a physical him it up um type of football which we always seem to struggle against. Coupled with us having 3 to 4 stronger players out of the squad, and Skarz not playing at his assured best it was going to be a tough game.
I thought in the whole Raglan had a good good, but his job wasn't made any easier with Dunkley not being assured or confident on the ball. I think if it was Nelson and Raglan it might have been different, but hay ho.
Disappointed that so many fans left with 10-15mins to go, think they deserved better than that.
ps why is our pitch poor when we've spent lots of money on it?
Oh, and I bet we're the first match on Goals Rush tonight!
