Absolutely are we so tin pot to think a day trip in a reserve team trophy is a target for our season? The job is not done we can't put in a performance this bad in such an important match. Wembley is a bonus, it would have been nice to make the play offs but let's. e honest we don't have the squad. If we haven't got the squad then don't take the competition seriously. Certainly don't risk injury's in these games

Johnson seems too have difficulty standing up as soon as an opponent is near him some wind seems to blow him down

Not the teams we perform well against. Pretty clueless actually. I'd put Southend and AFC in the same boat. Still, might have been different but for the injuries.

Could have done with at least one attacking option on the bench, just to shake it up a bit - shame they've only just sent Roberts and Graham out on loan, would have been good for one of them to have had a run out if nothing else

We have a bemusingly poor record against the sides we came up with last year. Five games, five defeats.

Damn, Millwall just scored so 6th place suddenly looks a long way off.

We have a bemusingly poor record against the sides we came up with last year. Five games, five defeats. Makes that 'best team in League 2' boast from last season seem rather shallow now. Hmmm. Not a great result at all although it hardly comes as a surprise. We've not tackled Bristol Rovers particularly well in recent seasons (Roofe wonderstrike aside - we should have lost that game) so we can file this game down on MApp's 'learn from this' folder.

That makes it one goal in our last five home league games. Hardly playoff form.

Won't be starting one of these again anytime soon!
Poor. Inept. Shapeless. What happened there? The cynic in me suggests that we lost our focus in the build up to this game after Wednesday. I'm sorry if that offends anyone.
Terrible record against the teams who came up with us. Fifth loss in a row now against those teams.
Not happy.

We certainly aren't scoring enough although that upset some people on here when I last discussed it

Dreadful perfornance. Gave the ball away too much. All the teams that came up have done the double over us this season

Today seems to me to be a true reflection of where we really are.
Youthful, talented, somewhat wasteful and prone to inconsistency.
We're quite capable of going toe to toe with really good sides. Also quite capable of capsizing against average opposition. Is it really a surprise given we are newly promoted and changed the whole spine of the team (pretty much) over the summer? I don't think so. We've been on a good run over the last few months which has got everyone's expectations up but I think a top half finish and a lower league cup Wembley appearance is probably where we are at the moment. I think the squad and variety of starting 11s is a bit unbalanced at the minute. A couple of good signings over the summer, a few back from long term injury plus a departure or two will most likely sort this and we can push on next season.
Probably not a popular opinion but hey ho.
