What goes around comes around………….. Did any Oxford fans go to the game?

There are some on their forum who are desperate to get on Blackpool's pitch and stay there to make sure the match isn't finished. Despite the fact that the match is important as far as Blackpool are concerned, that Blackpool are having a bucket collection FOR Orient and that by all accounts the Blackpool fan's organisation has been incredibly supportive to them. And now they will doubtless whinge about this. Classless - it shows complete disregard for other clubs and (more importantly) other supporters. But they'll want other fans to be sympathetic. Orient are selfish as anything. Happy to disrupt others promotion push for their own gains. Sympathy may well start to disappear if they continue this nonsense

Ticket sales for their final game in the League at Blackpool have been suspended. FL to announce at 18.00 tonight whats going to happen.
They FL are really in a pickle as there are still lots of teams in League Two that can make the play-offs including Blackpool...... another pitch invasion would delay the result....which could lead to all sorts of shenanigans.

Imagine the carnage if Orient fans had started doing this a month or two ago when they were already realistically total goners. This could've happened for the last 10+ games rather than the last two. At least if push comes to shove the league can issue refunds on the away tickets sold at Blackpool and get super tight on knowing exactly who bought tickets in the home ends by using databases etc. It's not ideal but it might be the only way they can ensure the game at least takes place and finishes.
I understand the hurt (even if I do find it funny) but you can't just go and obstruct other clubs who have something very real to play for. Sorry, it's not all about you and your situation. The world doesn't bathe in red just because you want it to.

So now Orient are down and the results of the matches doesn't matter the fans are happy enough to disrupt every match even though it has an impact on the outcome of other club's season.
It just goes to show what sort of people Orient fans are and how they don't give a toss about other clubs yet they will still want sympathy and fans to put money in buckets for them. Good riddance I say.

I'm assuming no-one was on the pitch at the Manor v Wigan in the TVR protest then....

What are the chances of Orient's average home attendance next season (IF they survive) being less than dear old Mick Brown gave them in the NS back in 2006......?

I'm assuming no-one was on the pitch at the Manor v Wigan in the TVR protest then.... There was never any chance that game not starting though. Peaceful protest, point made, off we went, and the Wigan fans backed us at the time. It also wasnt a last day, f*ck someone elses party up type of day either.

I'm assuming no-one was on the pitch at the Manor v Wigan in the TVR protest then.... Yes I was. Different kettle of fish entirely. In the good old days when direct action was about the only option....... It was a protest against the amalgamation of two seperate clubs to suit the Maxwell families ego`s. Whilst folk may have been chanting against Maxwell at the TVR protest it was the preservation of the two seperate clubs identities that was more important. It was actually the Reading board that scuppered the deal (Tranter & Smee) as those who were in Maxwells "pocket" didn`t have legitmate ownership of their shares/voting rights. That aside..... The FL "issue" with Blackpool vs Orient is that, despite their on the pitch success, Blackpool fans want their owners out as much as Orient fans do so there is as much risk from the home fans as the away ones!

But it was a protest on the pitch...some on here are suggesting points deductions for it happening. I assume no one here went on the pitch at Orient last game of 83/84 celebrating promotion? The Colchester fans were applauding the Orient fans and joining in with songs...

The Blackpool fans protesting are already staying away though, so if they limit the crowd to Blackpool season ticket holders they should be fine.

Of course we were on the pitch AFTER the game and when we scored But again, it was not with the aim of geting games abandoned and it also wasnt illegal back then.

Just watched that video Thought it was really good in that it showed the hurt so well So glad the bastards are suffering. Hope they stay down there for at least 5 years like Luton did, or better still go further down so they can have a trip to Court Place Farm, and we can all go and laugh at them

At least they may have D&R to look forward to - as long as the National League accepts them. El-crapio by anyone's standards!
Wonder if Dagger is creaming himself all over their forum yet?

Aw the poor little fans crying at getting relegated. I just think it's a shame we weren't there to laugh in their faces and wave them good bye out of the football league.

AFC Fylde, Maidenhead United with potentially Chelmsford and Chorley to join them as opponents next season, that's what you call a glamorous division, I reckon they will struggle as well.

Anyone who can't make Oldham on August 5th, could always follow the mighty Orient away at Sutton. !!!!! They must be looking forward to that one.
