Thought both full backs were great, especially as they're only youngsters. Amazing scenes after odowda scored. Made me as proud as ever to be an Oxford fan and especially as COD is one of our own. Great day despite the result Agree! Think some are a tad harsh on the team ..when u think of how far we've progressed.

I was sat next to a section of noisy Barnsley fans. Lots of then had flat caps on! One of them had a tee-shirt with a whippet design on. Stereotyped, or what! I saw loads of old mates, from the seventies - including one who still lives in the seventies (Dave Luard). That aside, it was a great day. And all those Oxford fans! COYY!

Yeah, but there was a social media campaign among the Barnsley supporters to go wearing flat caps. One o' them ironic post-modern things the young folks are so keen on, dontcha know

There were a lot of genuine carrot crunchers there mind! At events like these it is quite noticable the gap between the yokels and the city folk.

The ironic thing is; I wear flat caps in the winter, and I really do eat and crunch raw bluddy carrots, because I'm on a bluddy diet! Ooh arr and ee bah gum!

I had to catch a train oop north after the game, and had a long chat with a Barnsley supporter (he'd been a fan since the early 60's). He was very complimentary about us- said they couldn't believe that we were a L2 team. He thought that Barnsley shaded it overall, but that all the Barnsley fans thought we would do very well if we get into L1 next season. He actually said 'you are a right good team- you'll have no problem at all in L1'

I found 2 £48 tickets for entrance G on the slope up Wembley Way. Handed them into the ticket office, hope whoever it was who lost them went to the ticket office! It was very stressful knowing I had someone else's tickets in my hand, felt guilty even though I did nothing wrong?

You may be being a little harsh on folk. We were trying to get a visit to the toilets and get served with a tea whilst negotiating the crowd of other folk all milling around the concourse of the Club Wembley level. Queues at the ladies meant a lot of the ladies were unable to get back in time and the incompetence of the staff on at least one of the food outlets was very annoying to say the least. Barely got our tea when the second half kicked off and had to rush back to our seats. Very surprised that Wembley cannot manage all this better. I imagined that was part of it, yes. As I mentioned, people go to Wembley for different reasons - for some the football is the main event, for others a day on the sauce in London and if they see some football it's a bonus is enough. The queues for refreshments did seem long at half time. Have to admit that I was caught out by how quickly the game restarted. I guess the time taken to get from seat to concourse, queue for the loo, time gathering up the group I was with, including wife who wanted a hot dog (queue didn't seem too bad), then queue to get back to seat and we got back into the seating area 40 seconds after second half kick off. There were crowds of people still in the concourse when we left.

I missed the first Barnsley goal. I didn't hear anything on the concourse but saw the score come up on one of the TV's. That's 3 times I've been to Wembley now that I have been 5-10 minutes late back at half time.

There was some bloke sat behind me who had lost his ticket and had to buy another to get in (he was completely s***faced, got separated from his mates and couldn't remember where he was supposed to be sitting!). He disappeared at half time...maybe he found proper seat!

Thought I'd start this as created the one on that famous day when we beat York 3-1 - I'm going for a narrow 2-1 victory to the U's COYY'S Yellows1 needs to be sacked asap before Saturday.

There were crowds of people still in the concourse when we left. Likewise - thought being with my younger lad I'd miss the toilet crush and buy him a snack. By the time we'd queued and then visited the toilet, Barnsley had scored. Hearing must be going as failed to hear the cheer for the 2nd half commencing or Barnsley fans when they scored! Two points in terms of consolation - at least with Dunkley scoring we still maintain our record of always scoring three times at Wembley(!), and more importantly, if you are going to lose a Wembley Final, it might as well be the Tin Pot Trophy (but well done Barnsley nevertheless)! Great weekend regardless of the result - thank you OUFC!

Does anyone think it was a foul on Hylton leading up to their 3rd goal?

Does anyone think it was a foul on Hylton leading up to their 3rd goal? Yes - most of the folk I was with. Quite surprised the ref didn't blow up. I think the first challenge won the ball, but as your boy attempted to get to the loose ball, Roberts brought him down. Given some of the good solid tackles that Woolmer called foul on in the first half, it was a little strange he let that go.

Great effort by players and fans. A really enjoyable game and day out at Wembley despite the result. We can now concentrate on finishing the job and getting promotion, I can't wait for the next home game.

Always use the exit over the entrance for the toilets at Wembley. Saves shit ( pun intended ) loads of time..

Ref in my opinion got it right as Hylton wasn't strong enough on that occasion. Thought he played generally well but one of several players that would not make the next step up. First half we were the better side but always looked vulnerable when they broke. Better side won to be fair, but if we can get promotion, 4 or 5 new players we won't be far off a very good Division 1 team. Best thing about Sunday was it was painstakingly obvious who you'd keep and who you'd let go!

It is what makes football great, passion and alternative views. Took the header well but for me he isn't quick enough or a natural goal scorer - good in this league but that's it for me. Would he really have a role in a Division 1 promotion bidding team? Lesson for me here was Micky Vinter and Neil Whatmore who in the early eighties were scoring goals for fun and making a huge contribution. Helped us win the old Division III and I (and many others) thought were totally irreplacable - Jim Smith had other ideas and so they exited.......... in came a pairing of Jonny Aldridge and Billy Hamilton - I guess the rest is history (and as always - Jim knew more than any of us)!!
