All this talk of a 4th stand is bad right now. All the club need to think about is promotion, there is still a chance we could f*ck it up.

Mr Hudspeth needs to spend more time on what we the tax payer pay him to do and that is provide a decent public service rather than making statements on a twitter account. His priority should be fighting the massive cuts in public services. Maybe he should take a look at IDS and follow his lead.

Because the cost of buying the stadium is 13m. That doesn't include the overflow car park, for the club to development they would have to pay a lot more for the land. I'd think the club does has a bit of say here, if they agree and the council to housing on the car park, and in return they get a fourth stand built, then they should tie in a Definite future purchase price or renegotiate rent as per of the deal. Some of the other tit bit like additional parking, a new link rd direct from the leys and finishing the priory are what fans have been asking for all season as well as an away stand so that the best seat are available for home fans. It does cover the cost of over flow car park.

That if we wanted the land to developas well as the ground, the figure would be more like 30m

Arhh I see, so that's why kassam needs the club on side. New stand = don't stand in my way. The crtb, doesn't state the price though does it, so if he was to sell to the club, he could still do just the stadium. As the crtb only gives us first option to buy the land doesn't it? If he's not selling it just developing it, can it stop that ?

If he's not selling it just developing it, can it stop that ? The thing is, the council won't let him make more profit at the detriment of the club! He could just build the 4th stand, but he would benefit from doing that, so by building the houses etc then that would offset his costs plus a profit. But then he'd still own the stadium which he'll then charge the club a higher rent and increase the cost to purchase the stadium. It seems this has come out of the woodworks because the club have been discussing he possibility of a temporary stand.

No I think that all parties have been discussing it for a while. Kassam and de are on much better terms, and I think I read that he even texts congratulations after good results. It says both options have been looked at. I think the club agreeing to the housing deal, or rather not apposing it will lead to a final outcome for the stadium. He's not stupid, he knows the lease is ticking down and will either have to agree a long term deal, probably on better terms( not hard , cheers mr merry) or a sale price. He would only push ahead with a fourth stand if he knew we were staying other wise it could be being ripped down again in a few years time if we moved

We don't need a 4th stand and we don't need houses. We need to own the stadium! His words of "final piece of the jigsaw" is not good news for OUFC. If this goes through we can kiss good bye to ever owning the stadium.
Bite the built, pay £13million to buy the thing along with the conference centre. Concentrate on filling the stands we have, get all the extra income we would get from catering and conference centre and in time build the 4th stand ourselves. We could also then get the stadium sponsored which would then bring in extra money. For example The BMW Stadium. Maybe it won't be the nice name fans will want but we can just adopt it as the New Manor ourselves.

The Tories have set targets for councils to ensure that houses are built. The Tories have put in very expensive (to the tax payers and by the way Kassam is a tax exile) schemes to help young people onto the housing ladder.

No we don't need houses, what we do need is to close the borders, immigration has got way out of hand in the last 10-15 years but that's another subject altogether, we'll sink and no I'm not joking!!!!!
