Not sure if it's been mentioned elsewhere but apparently we have this bloke on trial from Jarrow Roofing, of all places. 22 goals from 18 appearances so far this season.
Jarrow is where Peter Leven now plays.

One of my favourite players of all time was Cyrille Regis. He started off at a crap club (Molesey, then Hayes)

I support Roofing and am good friends with him. I must tell you he's a great player and would make a great signing.

Easy, our game was a 12 pm kick off. Finished at 1.50pm. He then travels the 4 and half hour trip up to Boldon, arrives at 7.30pm and gets his kit on to play for Jarrow Roofing.

He didn't play for you due to his contract with Roofing. He will play for you in a development game against wolves on Monday. He will then go on trial at a league one club the week after. A championship are keeping a close eye. If you want any further info on Roofing or John please come to me even though I live in Folkestone, Kent. Please follow them on twitter, @theroofing

Because I'm good friends with the founder of the club. Isn't that the chap who basically does a bit of everything up there and built a lot of the ground?

I like the way they've listed the suitors in order of importance; Oxford > Fleetwood > Sheffield Wendy. Also, hard to tempt anyone to a dev. game when they could be playing West Allotment Celtic!

Anyone else think it's a bit weird these grown men in Jarrow are such good friends with a 13 year old?

No I'm 14 and it's because I'm grown up for my age. The club are like family to me. That club is amazing and I'm proud to be part of it!

Anyone else think it's a bit weird these grown men in Jarrow are such good friends with a 13 year old? Anyone else think it's a bit weird that headlesspnub sees something wrong in grown men not turning their backs on a wheelchair bound 14 year old, in case people got 'the wrong idea'? Should we all ignore him because of his age? I certainly will not and I'm happy to see so many others on here appear to share my view.

Good luck to you, son. These Southrons are a peculiar bunch but you get used to their tricky ways after 30 years living amongst them. Also, hard to tempt anyone to a dev. game when they could be playing West Allotment Celtic! Used to be a miniscule team but they've come on a lot in the past couple of decades as once mighty sides like Whitley Bay and North Shields have faded.

Happy days following Whitby Town (home town club) with my dad in the late 90s. Jarrow, Shildon, Crook Town, Peterlee, Murton, Blyth Spartans, Billingham Synths, West Auckland...

@bincky29 Take your pick from 1/5: Crocombe, Grant, Trialist, Long, Brown, Trialist, Trialist, Ashby, Humphreys, Trialist, Trialist!! #oufc Looks like the trialists were CB, RM, CM and 2 ST. The strikers I guess were John Campbell and Albert Kuqi

York fan I know seems to think they've tried to get ahead of all the clubs who have/will have him on trial and have offered him a contract.
