Somewhat ironic then that Posh have recently demolished the excellent Moys Terrace then! You couldn't make it up! Did they get forced into going all-seater? Have they played in the Championship?

You are allowed 3 season grace. They've had that. If they go up, they need to install seats on the terraces, or close them down and thus reduce the capacity.

Seating is the primary cause of lack of atmosphere in grounds, including ours. Its generally allocated, mostly bodering on dangerous (seats bodged onto terraces) and a poor excuse to charge more for admission. The global money driven "corporate" take over at all levels of football has also added to the demise. Good luck to those fighting the battle.... unfortunately the war is lost. That's what annoys me about Morecambe. They have an away fans terrace behind the goal with £15 ticket price. But they shut it, force you to go in the seats, and charge you £19. OK it's under £20, but I still have this feeling I've had the p*ss taken out of me. And at Rochdale yesterday again we have a club taking cash at the turnstiles and not providing a receipt in the form of a ticket which is against Consumer Law. We have had several this year and why football clubs think they are beyond the law shows the lack of care they have for their customers. My brother contacted Morecambe in advance of the game to ask the question about the terrace but received nothing back. Again a football club with a couldn't care less attitide

Again a football club with a couldn't care less attitide contact Football Supporters Federation ....( its free to join ... www.fsf.org.uk ) ....they not only provide great ( and legal... when/if required) advice, FSF also campaign for the rights of football supporters too.....maybe FSF, with the clout they have, they can 'bend the right ear' re no/reciept/ticket stub etc and actuallyhave notice taken of the issues they raise on behalf of football supporters with the relevant body/bodies/ organisations ? And for MUCH less than even the price of a stamp! ....just the 'cost' of the time it tkes to email....the same time it takes to post on any, ( such as this very), forum

You could ask the FSF or just look up the football league regulations for yourself instead. Basically there's a hierarchy of semi-equivalent views/seats/covered that the home club has to price match.
So by closing the away terrace, morecambe could charge the equivalent price for home covered seats along the touch line.
Cambridge used to do it too. But when we aren't going to fill out the seats, it's a gimme for clubs where we don't take many fans who could all fit in the covered seats.
