He is better than Potter, from what I have seen so far. Maybe! But with Holmes on the left and Potter in the right.....? Now that WOULD be interesting! ;D

The ultimate proof that a winger with end product is infinitely more valuable than one who does everything but deliver at the end. He doesn't overcomplicate things and despite possessing less pace than many, causes problems whenever he gets the ball. It's a real shame that Alfie isn't fit to train with him because I think he would learn a thing or two to aid his future.

I was listening to Radio Solent yesterday and they were saying that we were arranging an extension to his loan period. Even had an interview with Chris Wilder on it. Expecting to hear this had been signed sealed and delivered today. That was before the game last night.

Full marks for CW for bringing in such a talented wide man who has great quality.
Let's hope we can do a deal to extend that loan.

Expecting to hear this had been signed sealed and delivered today. That was before the game last night. Talking to friend of mine who's a Southampton fan, he tells me that Holmes is well down the pecking order, and that he believed they would off-load him at the end of the season, especially if they're promoted. Based on this, I believe we could sign him until the end of the season at least, and possibly permanently in the summer.

Sounds as though we should keep him wrapped up in cotton wool. We know about his playing talents by now but I didn't realise that he'd had such a chequered past with regard to his injuries. I hope we can keep him fit for the rest of the season.

I thought it sounded like he would be staying by the Wilder and Holmes interviews before the Shrews games. It sounded less likely in the pairs interviews after the games in YP. He was class on Tues night. If he goes, we will really miss him i feel. Would love it to be sorted before Saturday. But Morgan plays his best on the left of a front 3. Maybe Holme's replacement?

Shame we dont look like we will be able to keep him. I've heard it all now!! No way is Holmes better than Ritchie. He's good, but not that good. Please keep it real. A friend of mine who supports Southampton tell me he's basically surplus to requirements for them and well down the pecking order, so unless another club are interested in Holmes I could see him signing until the end of the season. If he does it would be good as he adds balance to the squad.

I understand our friends down the A420 have expressed an interest, and Evans at Crawley is currently stuffing envelopes as we speak. Not looking promising.

I feel pretty confident we can keep Lee ahead of any other L2 club. He's said he'd like to stay. I guess it depends a lot on what Southampton want.
