Let's hope he terrorises Swindon again; they're going to be scared of Holmes, Leven, Beano and the atmosphere this weekend...As long as we've got Dubes taking care of Benson, their only real threat is Ritchie.

I said he was decent - the way he made the second goal was pure class, skinning Caddis and rolling the ball across for Johnson.

He has something we've lacked, and that's ability to get a good cross in and keep wide. If we could keep him, I'd be very happy.

his ball into johno yesturday was top draw! the weight, direction and precision was quality pure quality!
He could have easily of smashed the ball goalwards or across the face, but no.
Looks like a quality player, one of which we are lucky to have.

Would hope that extending his stay is the top transfer priority.
Wonder if a deal similar to Payne can be worked out with Southampton.

He made both goals with quality delivery. His corners were very good as well. I would think extending his loan would be a priority. Would be a shame to lose out to a club in a higher league.

How many assists/games is that now? Got to be 1 a game average. Better than leven on that basis!

With him in the side the free kicks and corners are every bit as good as Leven's. With the added bonus that he's a good winger too!!!

I think there is more to come from Holmes, quite a bit more if I am honest. I'd like to see him really get hold of a game becuase I think he could wreak havoc. He just needs to go at defences a bit more and see plenty of the ball which, of course, is up to his team mates to get it to him.

Wilder on Radox said that we are going to approach Southampton about extending his loan. Had a feeling we'd be hearing this; what with the injury crisis and wage freed by releasing Payne. I for one would be happy if he played in all our remaining fixtures and then signed permanently in summer. Big part in our victory over Scum.

Having just listened to both Wilder an Holmes's interviews on yellow player, it sounds as if both parties want to extend the loan and therefore if Southampton are happy for us to keep him for a while longer i think it will happen.
Fingers crossed!
