Jordan Obita's mum is from Woodfarm, I went to school with his uncle, given his background is Oxford I am hoping sub consciously he wanted to miss that.

Well that was a pretty perfect ending to a great season. In 2017 we have seen Orient fans cry, Scum fans cry and now to top the trio we get to see the plastics cry after they blow their chance to get in the premier league.
I can see Reading having real money problems as I think they over spent this season to try and go up.

Well atleast they won't have the dilemma of who to support when they meet Chelsea in the league anymore

I suppose it saves them from coming bottom next season, on that performance neither of those teams are good enough and can't see a summer transfer window changing.
Newcastle and Brighton were a lot better than the rest of the championship this year, can't see their being any teams as strong as that next season so their is no reason the plastics won't be challenging.
Still funny though, imagine how disappointed most Reading fans will be at not being able to see Chelsea play next season.

A very good young manager and some resources to invest. I see some established, manager swapping Prem sides struggling next season myself so who knows.

Can't see them finishing above 3 other teams myself, seen them a few times this season and never really been impressed. Hull and Boro came straight back down and they remind me a bit of Middlesborough. People go on about the championship as if it's some elite league but the gap to the Prem is as big as ever. Might be hard to keep the manager as well.

Huddersfield's current team would struggle to get 20 points in the prem however they have just got £200million to spend. Use that wisely then they stay up or they use Burnley as an example, bank the money, enjoy the season but accept they are coming back down then build a team that can go back up and stay up.

The trouble is all the other teams get £200 million (and more). The manager seems to have a decent knowledge of the German league so may be able to pull a few good lesser known players from the Bundesliga. They don't seem the club to splash out on name players so the Burnley approach might be the best way for them. Huddersfield didn't actually win a game in the play offs.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to reading now. They're what, £80m in debt?
Hopefully they'll have to cut their budget for next season meaning Stam will get bored and leave
So pleased they haven't gone up - if there's 1 club in the football league I'd like to crash and burn it'd be them

Having been up in a helicopter today in Maidenhead, it was great to return to Yateley....just ten miles south of Reading and enjoy a couple of pints in a pub with a smile on my face.....just as the final penalty went in,,,,and the local plastics were just leaving

The fact that Reading were one penalty up and lost it was a brilliant end. So, so, so funny. From what I saw, they were there for penalties and really didn't do a whole lot other than defend deeply. Huddersfield looked a step up from them from the 1st minute.
A perfect end to the season. Roll on August.

So Brighton & Huddersfield will be the 48th and 49th teams to play in the top flight during the Premier League era.
Was thinking that we must now be one of the biggest clubs (in terms of fan base - definitely in terms of latent fan base) never to have done so.
Obviously there's Preston, who I would concede are bigger than us. Maybe Bristol City. Anyone else?

Still funny though, imagine how disappointed most Reading fans will be at not being able to see Chelsea play next season. As it was clearly apparent how utterly sh*te they were, there was a part of me that wanted them to win yesterday so they'd do a Derby in the EPL next season. I reckon they'd have struggled to get 10 points next season had they gone up......
