Just to calm people down and to address some of the unfair comments made about Myles, he won't be in attendance at the meeting tonight.
Plenty of people have views, just because Myles holds strong ones isn't a detriment to the Trust. Myles has stepped forward because we need a treasurer and above all else, was a founding member of OxVox from day 1. So people don't agree with him, some on the committee won't agree with him but it doesn't make his concerns/points any less valid.

Now MAP has his coaching team assembled perhap's urgent recruitment of a back up goalie, 2 strikers, a winger and play maker can commence. This delay reminds me of Lenagan end of last season.
Our squad is currently too thin to mention at this rate there will be 1 new coach for every 1st teamer. Can the new owner's afford the extra bods' on the payroll?

A quick comment on the analyst and the cost of it, his wage will be a lot less than what a lot of people who post on this forum earn.

Do you reckon they might have planned a similar management and back room team and strategy when trying to take over City for 2 years?
Or have they just winged it in the last fortnight?

Our squad is currently too thin to mention at this rate there will be 1 new coach for every 1st teamer. Can the new owner's afford the extra bods' on the payroll? I said it back in jan and i'll say it again, lenagan took a massive gamble with our promotion prospects, fans who are the lifeblood of the club were largely ignored until renewal time comes around again. We witnessed dull sterile football an end to a season that is still hard to understand or accept or indeed one we've received an explanation for and this has conveniently been overlooked because some new fellas entered the building. There was meant to be a drive to bring back lost fans but as ticket sales are showing those that saw it through last season appear to be walking away or non committal, there is a lack of a proper sizeable squad with decent quality capable of competing and whilst the backroom staff is important these appointments are not the one's that will bring sales and put bums on seats. The loyalty card wont keep working when it's always one way.

Is there anything that us mere mortals can be informed of following yesterday's meeting?

Is there anything that us mere mortals can be informed of following yesterday's meeting? "Mere mortals" A couple of questions: Have you ever stood for election to OxVox? Do you know these guys all have jobs and families? All it takes from any of us to be involved in these discussions is the desire to give up swathes of our time, be the target for criticism and sarcasm on a daily basis and generally be the whipping boys for the other 99% who can't be arsed to do anything other than post comments that are often sarcastic, personal and critical So, if you feel you need to know immediately why not put yourself up for the above. If you have, and were not successful the accept my apology. If you haven't, give the guys a break, thank then for their commitment and let them get on with their lives. We'll all know soon enough.

No, never stood. I volunteer 3 nights a week, working with disabled children and young adults. Along with coaching football in the community the other two nights a week. I simply don't have time. Shoot me down. They have families do they? Welcome to the real world, so do I! How is that relevant? Did the families stop the representatives posting as and when there was any developments with the takeover? I don't believe that they did. For the record, I never criticise the work that oxvox do on behalf of the fan base. It's a thankless task at times and the work they do is massively under-rated. Perhaps the reason I have posted asking if anybody has information this morning is because I care about my football club, did you consider that before jumping down my throat?

Everyone is very quick to argue these days. Newburys post didn't read to me that he was having a go at them. Seems no instead of debating , as soon as u say something others don't agree with ur intelligence, loyalty, or grammar are attacked

Not wanting to take sides but you original "mere mortals" post didn't primarily come across as someone who wanted information, more a little dig at OxVox. You might react in the same way if someone had a little dig at your work with disable people and young adults whilst asking a genuine question?

I'm sure everyone is keen to know what was saidSame question, but one wouldn't have been seen as being a dig at Oxvox. There are plenty of serious questions that need asking, plenty of genuine topics for debate, but if questions are shrouded in a personal dig, or a patronising comment, then the real debate gets lost. If you want a genuine debate with someone then what's the point in the little digs? Just ask the question and have the debate.

As just pointed out on another thread, I got home at 12.15am (and yes I have kids which complained about my whereabouts) while another committee member drove through the night to get back home, he got home at 3.30am. Notes being written up this morning.
(Thank god we don't have to wait for a 7 day cooling off period regarding the notes or have to chase the owner to see if he has bothered to read them) ;-)

Most of the stuff that comes out of your mouth is idiotic, therefore may I suggest you get your own house in order, before criticising others. Anyhow, let's not argue. I don't want to be centre of attention as I am looking forward to hearing points from last nights meeting.

I feel sorry for our new committee member who drove from the North East to Oxford and back to attend the meeting. I will say Daryl Eales is a really genuine chap and proper football fan. Am I in a good mood? - I'm OK. Did I think it was productive? Depends what you mean by productive.

It's all well and good saying don't read your posts, but you are on every other thread on this bloody board, along with your mate oufcyellows, so it's difficult to avoid. And you were the one who made the idiotic comment regarding Oxvox reporting on their meeting. These people (and I have done it myself) give up a lot of their time, for the good of the club, and comments like yours are unnecessary (and I don't think it appeared tongue in cheek), and come across as juvenile. My advice to you.........think before you post a supposedly humorous comment, as it may not read that way to others. That's one all on the unwanted advice front......................
