Why does this matter? They need to be painted at some time.... If you can't appreciate why some might find that kind of timing unsavoury, I'm not sure you fully appreciate the emotive nature of supporting your local team for many.

Hmm.....Ok then! of course i understand it. But it makes no difference when the lines are marked. none whatsoever, Sounds like we're making the same point then. I agree that it obviously makes no literal difference but the groundsmen might be better placed to wait all of five minutes before us football fans have left before making conducting a symbolic act which represents our poor fortunes in not owning our own home and having to live alongside an unsuitable co-tenant.

Did they lose today? Are they relegated yet?
I hope the answer is yes, to both.

London Welsh head coach Rowland Phillips: "We had a lot of positives today and we will be looking to build on that performance. Bit late now. ?. Mind you we have heard that a bit too often

All they need next season is a patch of mud and a stand to house 300.

All they need next season is a patch of mud and a stand to house 300. The Kassam provides both of these requirements unfortunately.

From a business view how can they justify staying here and playing in the championship next season? I suppose if they left the premiership wouldn't let them back in again Glad they are down anyway, completed a great weekend with us winning, the Stars staying up and my lad scoring 2 tries for Bicester U13s this morning ??

There is, as you might expect, a lot of coverage about the 18th defeat this season for London Welsh in the Sports section Of the Daily Telegraph today. i don't normally rejoice in the sufferingof others, but in their case I'll make an exception. The part of the report that caught my eye reads as follows:
"Now some of their best players are poised to jump ship next season including their powerhouse No 8 Opeti Fortuna who is joining Leicester, while the Board is thought to be split about whether to remain in Oxford or to return to Old Deer Park next season."
We should now, at once write to the Board and encourage their swift and irrevocable departure from Oxford at the earliest opportunity!

Whilst the chips are down it would be an excellent moment for Oxvox to irrevocably stick the knife in and announce how the people of Oxfordshire reject their presence in the county as demonstrated by their lowly crowds in rugbys top flight. That they are cuckoos in a world that doesn't want them. That they have been poor flatmates with their decimation of another clubs facilities. That their core fan base and membership at old deer park resents their move away. And that they have no future in an area where plenty of rugby already exists and football fans no longer wish them to ply their trade. The experiment has failed and it's time to draw a line under it before they do more long term damage to their clubs fabric
