I'm always in favour of naming grounds where they acually are. And our ground is, as we all know, Minchery Farm. To the person who said "farm in the title is a big no-no", my question is: why? Why should we be ashamed that we come from a county where there are a lot of farms? And where a lot of supporters (me included) come from farming families? It's pathetic. Ipswich fans revel in being the Tractor Boys. But we're trying to pretend we're a big urban metropolis? Gimme a break. We're not even really Oxford United. We're the county team of Oxfordshire. I would bet that fewer than half our fans come from inside the ring road. If not Minchery Farm, then I'd suggest something else that reflects and encourages our cachment area, such as the Oxon Arena. Otherwise, I'd just call it "The Manor Stadium". No need for 'New". Clearly it's "New". But it is redolent and sounds more or less right.

Lots of If's but IF we owned the stadium and IF it was finished too, it would no doubt be named by our sponsors, as Kelvin is not one to miss a business opportunity. If that were the case I'd not be surprised if we were playing at the Mini stadium at some point.

Isis Stadium (everyone else said it) The Dean Windass Stadium (complete legend-ex yellow) Grenoble Road (simple and doesn't mention ka-ka-ka curse him) 86 Milk Cup Stadium (celebration of our history) Bridle Insurance Community Stadium (Colchester and Brighton) Sandford Park (sounds nice (it is in sandford-on-thames)) The New Manor (Millwall)

Got to page three of this but it's late so not reading all but my vote is 'the bridle manor' if they put towards the purchasing of it.

Hmm. "Isis" seems a bit (Stuart Hall) pretentious and you can imagine our esteemed visitors trying to find the "Iz-Iz" stadium. If we want history, then something from Headington would probably be better, but "The Quarry" would just confuse people.
MINI-chery Farm would kill two birds with one stone.

Yes please. I hate the name Kassam. How can this man still have his name up there? How about the New Manor Stadium or even the Kelvin Thomas Stadium - who cares as long as Kassam goes. I even find it difficult to write the name. Ken
Ah, got it. The Ken Forever Stadium?

Surrey - yes of course he has his name up there because he owns it. But there is no one called Mr. Chelsea or Mr. Reading, so your statement doesn't address the real fact that for a lot of fans, including me, calling the stadium The Kassam Stadium is not something we like and it is unusual to have a stadium called after its owner, although not unique.
The question is "Would Mr. Kassam consider accepting something like "The New Manor" or one or two other serious names that have been mentioned.
Mark Sennett - do you have any answer to this question? If Mr. Kassam says "No" end of story. But he may feel that that there is rather a lot of hostility towards this name and he just might be persuaded to accept a new name? Somehow doubt it - but is there any way KT knows how to approach this point?
