How about something plain, which doesn't mention anyone's name? Something like...............THE BRONZE OX Our ox is made of bronze, of course - isn't it?

In line with our 'Stand up for standing' mission, we could call it the 'United We Stand' stadium!

Personally I don't like wishy washy names, I'd prefer something a little more stoic but inextricably linked to Oxford. I'd go for 'The Martyrs Memorial Stadium' with bloody great statues of the Oxford Martyrs out the front as you approach the stadium, that'll put the wind up 'em! The stadium should emit a "wont be druv" attitude. It would be a brave move in these insipid times but it's our inheritance so we should beat people over the head with it!

The PETER HOUSEMAN STADIUM
Who is, to my best knowledge, the only player to have died or have been killed whilst playing for us.
He, his wife and two close friends (another couple) were killed when the son of some Lord Ponsemby-Snootygit or other collided head on with their car near Cassington on the A40 in 1977, (I think 6 children were orphaned) and he, the cause of it walked away with a fine!
We got FA Cup winner Peter 'second hand' from Chelsea, but he was pure class to watch, absolute class.
My elder brother would offer ARTHUR TURNER STADIUM as a fan of that era
The Peter Houseman Stadium is my offer

I'm sticking with Sandford Park -Unless a major sponsor is found. Then who knows, 'The Virgin Atlantic Stadium'?

Not sure why 'Isis' is so popular. As far as I am aware the word Isis has never been used by or been in connection with OUFC, so why do people want to use it all of a sudden? Why try and use a new word as part of our identity? We already have Manor which will always be connected with OUFC, so if you want to use something use something we already have. e.g. The New Manor, Manor Stadium etc. Not sure the need to start using something new. I still prefer "Grenoble Road", but if that wasnt used, I would much rather something with Manor rather than Isis. Why would you want a French name over an old Oxford name like Isis?

I agree with the New Manor. Millwall have got the new Den, so why not? I don't like The New Manor, but I do like The Oxford Manor. First there was The Manor Ground, then there was The Oxford Manor. I think that works better than The New Manor.

Grenoble Road is about as uninspiring as it gets and what if the road around the back of Greater Leys had been called Dyke Lane or similar!
The Isis Stadium is ok....it just doesn't ring right and we'd all soon get tired of explaining what it meant!
Minchery Farm...ANYTHING ending in Farm...is a big NO NO!
Whilst I used to think The New Manor was the only choice, too much water has passed under the bridge for us to go back there....lets move on!
So for me Priory Park is definitely the best I've heard. It sounds like a football ground, has an obvious link to our favourite watering hole and isn't a million miles, in terms of meaning, from The Manor.
I'd throw in The Priory as a subtle alternative although I'm not sure of the impact to the pub.
Our ground is built within yards of a historical building, that we've all got fond connections with. To name it anything else would just seem like a missed opportunity to me.
