I dont think pep has lost the dressing room just the plot! He's out of his depth I think. He’s too nice... can’t for one minute imagine him in the dressing room giving them an absolute bollocking.... Note to Pep.. I’m sick to bloody death of hearing “we will learn from our mistakes” ... are we fcuk.

It took far too long for the players to step up today. We lost the game because we were collectively passive for too long and looking for an extra touch on the ball or not being that extra bit physical. It lacked crispness and for a long period, stepping forward into the space. The passing was fine, could have been quicker, but we moved them well. End product, patchy at best.
If Hall doesn't want to track runners, he shouldn't be a footballer. Far too lazy and it kept costing us. Good talent but makes his full back look a mug because he's left with a 2 on 1. We really miss some physical bite in the midfield.
Henry had a good game, Richardinho and Mousingho were decent, Martin kept it tidy. Not sure when Thomas got taken out that a card wasn't given by the Ref. Stopping a goal scoring opportunity met with a shrug of the shoulders. The South Stand Lino was the pits. How he missed our player being hit on the ground is beyond me. He must have been looking down the line on it.

Very worrying performance. Players didn’t look interested and I have totally lost confidence in the team and manager. Even in games we’ve won we haven’t looked fully convincing and seem to be 2nd best in every first half.
Only 3 points off the playoffs but we’re nowhere near good enough to challenge.
Long hard winter on the way!!

I'm not into the sacking culture in football. I will stick by Pep. What Pep needs is Daryl's backing to spend some money in January. If the right players arn't available just some ambitious, energetic Prem youth to mix things up, I don't know.
I don't think that will happen. It seems plainly obvious to me the love has gone on Daryl's part. It's not if but when with his departure.
I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am. I'm not going to get carried away and talk about relegation battles. I think we will finish mid table. We will find some form again - just not promotion level form. But what do I know - not allot.

Long hard winter on the way!! Take a proper look at the table. Two teams in between us and the play-offs have two games in hand. In reality, we are 5 or 6 points off the play-offs and 6 points off 19th. Critical games coming up, which will define whether we get involved towards the upper or lower end of the table. We are going to need much more rolling up of the sleeves and a tactical plan b. We are too predictable to play against right now.

I WAS at the game today, Jerome and I have to say we were not very good. Without a doubt Kelvin had briefed JFH along the lines of "make em play first half towards the East stand, get in their faces and pressure them from the off. They WILL crumble"
Twas ever thus.
Not a good game and Duffy did nothing again.
Grrr!😠

It is an established fact already, isn't it? We were awful. The only players to get any credit imo were Wes Thomas, Clint and Robbie Hall. The tactics are woeful and as somebody next to me described it "we're a defensive team who can't defend". Basically the back 4 and the central midfield are defensive with our only attacking players being the wide players, Jack Payne and Wes Thomas/Jon Obika. The attacking players are pretty expected to create their own chances it seems. Pep is tactically rigid and whilst he eventually changed to 2 up top today, we still played the same passing it around at a slow tempo (invariably passing back to the defenders).

Score in a minute.. we're gonna score in a minute.. Please! I was saying that until I left in the 75th minute we have no chance. Wes goal was well taken but apsrt from that we don't have anybody who knows how to shoot.

Wes Thomas: 'I don't think we are doing too badly - it's just the odd mistake.' Discuss. Sounds like he's in La La Land

I can’t imagine Darryl would have confidence in Pep to spend money well enough to make a significant difference, especially after his summer signings which are proving to be very hit-and-miss. If we’re mid-table with little chance of the playoffs, I don’t think Darryl will consider the chance of a slightly better league position financially worthwhile. That’s my opinion anyway.

Early signs are not good on nelson. Achilles injury If it is, on a plus no one will want him and Eales wont make any money from him. On a negative side he could go for free at the end of the season, But I hope he gets well soon as he will be a loss.

I understand your point if we look to be safe from relegation but off the mark of promotion and Eales wants out. If he's sticking around a good buy is a good buy and can bed in for next season. On the premise that Daryl wouldn't have confidence in Pep to spend money is true, then surely Pep is walking the plank. No chairman wants a manager they don't trust to manage...

Ironic - In a couple of games time JFH, who fans on this forum mocked and were glad he never came here, could drag Northampton above us, whilst we sink with the Spanish millstone round our neck...

Couldn't make it today, how did Martin get on? If Nelsons out for a while, looks like we'll see him filling in. I've only seen the second golf and he didn't fill me with confidence.

I thought Martin did OK. A couple of very solid defensive headers, got his head to one of our corners too I think. Still would have preferred to see Canice though.

Never made it today, but from the comments it seems were were too soft yet again.
As I said in the making the playoffs thread we desperately need some steel in the middle of the park. A ball winner and tough tackler !
Did Pep just stick with the same formation today?
