The new manager thread seems to be circling around a few names now, so I thought we could maybe simplify things by voting on our preferred choice. No need to pretend to be ITK and certainly no need to hang around outside the North Stand toilets - this is just a choice between the names being most commonly bandied about at the moment..

I don't get this thing with JFH. He took over at Burton with Gary Rowetts team. Won the league with Rowetts team, moved on to QPR, struggled there because he had to build his own team, then got sacked! Don't get me wrong, if he gets it, I hope he succeeds, but looking at things right now realistically he doesn't have a good record.
For me Alan Archibald or David Unsworth.

Have to agree with Barts, JFH was a great player but at the moment his managerial record is somewhat lacking. Join OxVox www.oxvox.org.uk/join-oxvox/

As said in another thread, Rowetts teams were set up to win 1-0, JFH got promoted from L1 with his style of football and "his" team

What I don't understand is that Darryl Eales said in the Oxford Mail this morning 'he doesn't want to harm another football club' (by taking their manager!). But the poll at the top of this thread says you want to employ Alan Archibald of Partick Thistle.

To any proper Englishmen Scottish football doesn't count, it's below the league of wales, the Ryman southern division and Australian rules football as a league, on a par with morrels Sunday league division 4 in standing.

I understand that his wife wouldn't be prepared to leave Liverpool so I doubt he has even applied. I agree though that he would be a good choice.
