And MApp said the E word after the game as well, Excited! About Wembley and they have every right to be now. And so do we, roll on Sunday, and Wednesday as well come to think of it! I was more concerned when he used the b words. Bang at it .

As already posted. A slick performance last night. McAleny deserved his man of the match award but there were many other notably good nights. Rothwell and ruffels were dominant in midfield. Hall was tireless and phil Edwards had a cracking game. Johnson at times looked a class apart and some of his runs were just a joy to watch. But i must say that Hemmings frustrates me. Some have said that he worked hard. I feel that he has so much more effort to give and i really hope that we will see Kane Hemmings fully let rip on sunday. All in all, a very good night, and it could have been a lot worse for a Bury side that were caught in the whirlwind.

Hemmings didn't work that hard earlier in the season but won far too much ball in the air against a back 3. It hasn't consistently clicked for him yet, he seems closer to it than he was 6 months ago.

Some really good individual performances last night and a good all round team performance I was particularly impressed with josh ruffles, since ledson has been on international duty he has come in and played that ball winning midfield roll perfectly and gets better with every game

Would the daily commute play a part for Hemmings and Dunkley?
Burton and Wolverhampton are far enough away to become a grind if doing it on a daily basis.
That said, I don't think the two of them are performing badly. Infact, I rate Hemmings. He just needs a goal and a run of games!

Hemmings is fast becoming, pound for pound, one of the poorest fee signings we have made in our history.
Granted, there have not been many fees paid. And he is also at a disadvantage that he has come to us in an era of the game when fees are rarely paid because of Bosman ruling. But still.
As I've said before, if he had come to us on a free he would have been a perfectly acceptable signing.
But he has been a huge disappointment. 'Oh, he's a poacher, he just needs to be fed'. Balls. The guy misses from five yards more than any other striker I can remember.

Very very enjoyable night, shame there wasn't a few more there to wave off our heroes in their final match before the 'March to the arch.' Luckily those who caught the positivity bus in the pre-match build up were rewarded for their faith by a sparkling display that dispelled any thoughts that our lads would be treating the Bury match lightly. And, despite a low attendance I thought the atmosphere was pretty good with the east stand prominent and persistent. The MIB managed to turn up the volume with his particularly crass decision not to red card the thug who tried to break Johnson's legs.

Was hoping to see 'that' tackle on the highlights but no such luck. Also wanted to see hemmings almost goal of the season attempt. Damn work not being able to go!

Was your hot chocolate only lukewarm? Did you experience any splashback from the urinals? Did you get scared driving home in the dark?

Bit late, but can I just say that the atmosphere at the back of the East Stand was excellent last night, despite the low attendance.
Really good to hear Ruffles getting a sustained song too. Deserved and overdue.

I am becoming increasingly impressed with Ruffles a very underrated player who never lets us down.

Just had a look and 8 of Conor's 14 senior goals have come in his spell here (13 includes his JPT u23 strike for Everton). Gives me hope that we could sign him next season even if we remain in Lg 1. Mapp will be telling him to get his head down, score 20+ next year while playing each week and earn himself a big move.
Question for him now will be does he try this, or take a deal on more money at a Champ club next year, but risk playing time?

Great stuff, and like many others I was not expecting that. Looking at the Sky highlights it is clear the finishing was very clinical. But anyone else think the goal celebrations were a little bit subdued....? I think their (very poor) goalie made our shooting look good

He has scored something like 15 goals this season, albeit a few against the lesser teams, but then he has still scored against Bristol Rovers (A), Sheff Utd, Rotherham, Newcastle, MK and Bolton (H) with very few 90 minute games. His goals to minute ratio must be very good. He is certainly a 20 goal a season man and does the other work as well. Yes, I was expecting a bit more from him but give a season to settle back down south, step up from Scottish football to League 1 and I can still see a good player in there for next season.

I dont see him as a 20 goal a season man at lg1 standard. Most of his goals have come against lower sides because thats probably his level. I also think we overpaid by £250 000 for him as his league goals have only returned 3 points for us so far. He doesnt have any real pace no touch or skill he is crap in the air he cant hold the ball up well. His movement off the ball is poor/lazy. I dont see any potential development or resale value in him at all and I dont like his body language shrugging shoulders all the time.

So what do you think of the club scouting team?

Think people need to be careful writing off hemmings.
He obviously has ability else he wouldn't have been so clinical last season.. And has scored goals this year despite his overall game being below par.
Johnson looked bang average for the first 3-4 games he spent here but has got settled, confident and now looks a class above this level.
Our scouting team have got things pretty spot on so far and it wouldn't surprise me if he bagged 20+ goals next season

So what do you think of the club scouting team? The scouting teams record of identifying players for Mapp to develop has been very good more hit than miss. I like the fact we've taken a chance on players like hoban and the non league fella they dont all work out tho just a shame when fees are involved.

Happy to be proved wrong Kane feel free to go and fire us into the playoffs by all means. He does seem a threat in and around the 6yrd box and prob could do with a partner up top and I suppose he didnt ask to b signed for such a fee. Without meaning to disrespect him more than I already have what abilities does he have exactly how does he positively impact games or what does he do that Iam not seeing.
