Impressed with our fight and we have been unlucky in places. A couple of penalty shouts and Johnson was so close too.
Aside from that fourth, all such sloppy goals though. Really poor stuff. We don't really score enough either but that's a side issue.
We are looking seriously tired out there too.

Don't think we deserved to concede four goals, Dunkley is probably the weak link in the back line. We showed grit & determination, and let's not forget that only a short while a go they were in the Premier League whilst we were in non-league.

All that posession and nothing to show, apart from the free kick. Thought we played well enough but its looking as though we will miss out now.

Surprised at the hate for Dunkley, yes he made a couple of poor mistakes but apart from that he was ok and has been good all season.
Maguire's free kick was amazing but he was bloody awful apart from that, giving the ball away and making the wrong decision a lot.
Overall we were unlucky to lose against a very good team, that could easily have been a draw, we battered them at times, some good football played as well

Ok was a good fight in second half. Mags apart from the beauty of a free kick I thought was pretty awful. Same with Hemmings.
Concede 4 at home, never gonna get anything are you.

Our lack of physicality found out by a typically physical League 1 side. Unfortunate to lose, but Bolton did their homework.

definite pen for McAleny (IMO) . sloppy goals conceded by us.
Dunks has been good, but we do need to strengthen in that area for next season. Overall we are not far away at all, a couple more quality players and we will be right up there.

Unfortunately dunkly will always have a mistake in him, tonight it cost us a goal when we were on the ascendancy. He is the weak link in atm in the back line. Well we go again Saturday, 5 points outside of the play offs.

I've been on positivity bus since start of last season but I'm pretty sure we ain't got a chance of playoffs now. No disgrace losing to Bolton. If you would of asked me at start of season I'd of said mid table would be awesome. We now look like doing that comfortably. No relegation fears after our dodgy start. I think this has been a great season with a small squad don't forget. We still have a Wembley final to look to aswell! Futures bright.

Fantastic effort second half Dunkley a hat-trick of mistakes. Get rid for the love of God Methinks you don't like Dunkley. Goodnight folks. Could have been different but Bolton are good. I've never met him. As a centre-half for a team with pretensions of promotion from this league he is nowhere near good enough. If you want to bring emotion into it, I actually felt sorry for him tonight. He had such a bad game that it seemed almost career-defining. Poor first touch, out of position, outmuscled. He'll never be anything more than a jobbing cb in the mid- lower-table of this league.

Unfair on Dunkley. He's been one of the more consistent players this season. If we sign better, it's logical that he steps down or moves on, but at present if Martin was fit and with Raglan available, he's still better than both of them. Just a few games ago he was winning MOTM against Peterborough.
Re. Hemmings - To me, he's just a better version of Pat Hoban. Does the donkey work, gets little reward for it and finds the goal sporadically from close range. However, he's very flat footed, disappears from the game and rarely influences things. I thought we were signing a goal scorer and yet his league return has been a disappointment overall.

Let's be realistic for a moment.
Dunkley was poor but I didn't think it was a foul for the 2nd goal, Maguire switched off and didn't follow the man. First half I thought Bolton were the best team I've seen this season in this league. 2nd half we came out flying and deserved to have a pen when it was a foul on McAleny but over all Bolton deserved the win.
People like to bang on about budgets, well this was a Bolton side who have players on £17/15K a week (I know that as a fact) so should be up there.
Dunkley is the weak link at the back and has been all season and he got found out tonight. I thought Lunny was great tonight, always wanting the ball and everything. Went through him tonight.

I think tonight showed our naivety as a side - which is understandable given the gulf in budgets and experience
Both cb's still have alot to learn but that's to be expected at their age. That's the worst I've seen dunkley this season but most games he's been a huge player for us
Macguire poor. Got crowded up by Bolton being solid and is not having a real outlet up top.
Would like a madine type player to lead the line for us next year

Wow how frigging unlucky was that.
We should have had a foul just before the non foul on le fondre
Definite penalty.
Marvs thunderbolt rolling across the frigging line
Both boltons shots rebounding straight to their players
Dunkley Wtf.
Thought Bolton were shite. put 11 players behind the ball and relied on set pieces.

If only we had Hunt and Newey patrolling the wing back positions with powerful Raynes at centre back to sure up defence. A destructive midfield of Asa hall and Scott Davies and some real fire power upfront in Deane Smalley.....
Come on, our present team is not only younger but light years ahead in ability in terms of the past. We are now a team to be proud of. Mixing it with the likes of Bolton and Bradford and have even flirted with the playoffs in our first season back in league 1 for some time; secondly reached our highest f.a cup round for years and causally got to another final at Wembley (only the 2nd in a year, casual).
This is a team to be proud of and also to get excited about, what does next year hold?!!?!

Not a bad effort. Bolton will go back up and will hold their own in the Championship next season. We need to keep this squad, add McAleny and a couple of others, and then we will be top six or thereabouts next season. We have seven players who would form the basis of a L1 promotion team next season: Eastwood. Nelson. Ledson. Lundstram. Hall. McAleny (if he stays). Johnson. The one who does need to go is Hemmings- not good enough. The comparison with Hoban is understandable. I actually think Hoban was the better footballer- but neither of them would be good enough for what should be our ambitions next season. It was very obvious tonight that Hemmings lacks the pace for L1- that's why he did so well in the SPL against slower defenders. This may be heresy, but I think Maguire can go as well- great goal, but lots of mazy runs, and quite over-indulgent imo. McAleny added a lot more pace and urgency when he came on. Overall, a really decent first season back- Wembley, upper mid-table, and Swindon going down. What more could you ask for?!

Only a short time ago, ( In the great scheme of things) Manchester United were in Division 2, Swindon in the Premier League and Dinosaurs walked the earth...
We should be beating teams like Bolton on our own Turf on a Tuesday evening...I thought Scunny were a better team to be honest.
