Let's hope we can keep up our good away form. I'm going for a solid 2-0 win for the yellows with goals from Hall & Lundstrum. Att: 6,107 with 956 vociferous U's fans. Tra la la...

Will be listening on the radio, as I'm working and on the road this afternoon. Hoping we keep the momentum going, and come away with 3 more valuable points. Which ensures safety, and then focus on the next target. 72-76 points. Mapps wanted 4 points out of charlton, and Chesterfield. So 6 will be even better.
Prediction Chesterfield 1-3 Oxford.
6200 - 950 yellows.

Given our record against teams in the shit I worry about this one, how often do we win in this situation?
BUT,,,,,Hopfully this is the day we change all that and take 3 points by doing what we did to Rochdale...."to think back in August I thought a point against Chesterfield was a good result.....now I'd be disappointed with just 1 this time round.
COME ON YOU YELLOWS

Who remembers a football special to Chesterfield late 70s early 80s ? We pulled into a siding to let a scheduled train through,on the sidings on the other side of the track was a Wolves football special !! We exchanged pleasantries across the tracks. I also went there for a midweek game around the same time,we came from 2-0 down to grab a draw,Briggsy scored if my memory serves me. I also remember pubs in Chesterfield sold Target lager,it was so shite it made Skol palatable.

Can't remember but your probably right. I remember seeing Manure fans as well on their way to Nottingham I think it was. And the Chesterfield fans singing "we know where your coaches are" at us!! Obviously done their homework there then 😁

Fitness permitting, same starting eleven as Tuesday I reckon. The Maguire, Hemmings, Hall combo continue to be rested with Wednesday in mind.
No idea as to the score but a win today could well set us up for a run to the play-offs - and almost ensure survival in League 1, of course. Glass half empty or half full? Don t know - I'm the one who can't even remember where he put the glass in the first place!

I'd keep Skarz left back, Hall in for Sercombe with Hall and Johnson interchangeable on the flanks, Maguire in for Martinez. A winning team can be improved.
Hoping for a win but they're be scrapping for their lives so it certainly won't be easy, if there's any hint of complacency it'll bite us on the arse.

Martinez and McAleney both cup tied for Tuesday (?) so they're both certain to play I'd have thought. Have a feeling Mags will be back in today and Sercs will drop to the bench. Apart from that, as you were.
Oh, and 1-1 the final score.

Deceptively large away following see us open a can of whoop-ass on the unfortunate Spireites..........Mrs EY is dropping me off then going to Meadowhall to catch up with family up that way ....I`m would rather the effort went in to getting a win today and shuffle the pack for the #bteamboycott game.
Probably 1-0 to them and a turgid afair in reality..

The stunning form of the 3-0 prediction almost guarantees it's selection. 3-0, Martinez, Johnson and Hemmings. Amersham Dave's dog get's on the wrong train and arrives too late to bite anyone.
I keep wondering what might have happened if we'd beaten Southend but if we win today and carry on this fantastic form, we may not have to wonder much longer.

Sorry guys but I think we will be brought down to earth today. Caldwell is a good manager and Chesterfield are fighting for their lives. Can see us losing 1-2. 6067 fans and 667 from Oxford

I think today could be a very important day if we are going to challenge for that top 6 spot. Got a feeling teams above us will drop points today, 1 or 2 guaranteed with Peterborough playing Rochdale. If we can get the 3 points and close the gap and still have 1 or 2 games in hand things could start to get exciting. Our momentum is back on track now.
Gonna say if we can score in first 20 mins we will win 3-0. If they score first then a 1-1 draw.
Big day. Spose they all are now mind you.

We never seem to do well away against shit teams in my mind at least, so I'd be delighted with a win and would take a draw as long as we can win a couple of the other home games in this block.
With the Luton cup game coming up on Wednesday it makes sense to rest Hemmings and play Martinez and McAleny since they're Cup tied. Therefore I'd play:
Eastwood Edwards Dunkley Nelson Skarz Hall Lundstram Ledson Maguire McAleny Martinez
Johnson wasn't rested last game while Hall and Maguire were, so maybe it's his turn.

We really need to win this one as everyone else plays a league a game on Tuesday whilst we play Loooton in the shit trade trophy on Wednesday. So 3 points today with Rochdale or Peterborough dropping points could be useful with the hope other points are dropped on Tuesday.

I'm just glad that we still have something to play for coming into March.
That said, 0-0. We struggle against the poorer sides. Would be nice to beat any team featuring Ched Evans.

I'm going for 1-1, hemmings with the goal, 1009 yellows, the ref goes off with concussion after Maguire tries a sweeping cross field ball that hits him Pow right in the kippa, and about 500 men fall in love with a young lady working at the burger van.

They managed to get on our coach and it was dodgy for a couple of mins. Forgot theyd need to stop as well
