I think you need a copy download from FIFA.com it talks about being slightly and seriously injured. Head injury's are not explicitly mentioned. Referees decision hence why we don't like players faking serious injury. Neither were serious so not sure of the issues here. PS the laws of the game are freely available to download and read before spouting rubbish. Sorry is the ref a doctor on head injuries he knows from one quick glance that's not serious f*ck me he's good He must be because both players got up and carried on. Therefore not seriously injured therefore good call.

It is a shame that head injuries and stopping of the game are so widely interpreted isn't it? It screams that PGMOL need to explain what circumstances are appropriate to stop games and when not to. But that means Mike Riley doing something, so hell will freeze over and Robert Maxwell will resurrect at the same time!

I've watched it a few times now and for the life of me I don't know what Johnson is trying to do for there 2nd goal. He just runs away from the ball and let's them in. Shocking defending that, which is why we need Skarz back for moments like that. Don't get me wrong Johnson did ok but little mistakes like that could make huge differences in the league

Seeing those highlights makes me more upset they were there for the taking a stupid penalty and two quite frankly awful bits of left back defending account for the 3 goals. Please can mapp play people in their proper positions for the rest of the season.

You can't blame Johnson for shocking defending. He's an attacker. He cannot defend. We choose to play without a left back. That has pluses and negatives. I'd rather it cost us in the cup than the league

Everyone associated with the club should be proud. Great effort. Fans sounded loud and proud all game. Even when we went 0-2 down you could hear us. Yet again we gave a good account of ourselves against teams in a higher league. Safe journey home everyone! You can't blame Johnson for shocking defending. He's an attacker. He cannot defend. We choose to play without a left back. That has pluses and negatives. I'd rather it cost us in the cup than the league You could argue it cost us on Tuesday when his poor starting position helped contribute to a goal. You can see Lunny pointing towards where he should have been here: For me, he should be played further forward and not have to worry about defending as much. Yes, provide additional cover when needed, but primarily he should be creating chances and scaring defenders. That run, where he did a little reverse flick between a Southend players legs, was magical.

1) nothing wrong with the disallowed goal. Boro player made a meal of that! 2) what a finish from the FK from Maguire 3) boro celebrated like they'd just won a very very tough game.

From one of the 'boro forums: "Well done oxford for giving it a go particularly in the second half their fans should be proud, i underestimated them before the game tbh." Quite a lot more in similar vein too Hate those patronising comments

I've been following the reaction to the game on Twitter and Boro fans are full of praise for Oxford - team performance and fans. Jennifer Hayton ‏Tweeted: "Well played @oufcofficial your fans were fantastic and your players did your club credit." azy ‏tweeted: "Oxford by far the best away fans at the Riverside this season though, fair play to them. " Reece Reed: "Kinda feel sorry for Oxford fans. Some of the best fans I've seen here for a long time and scenes when they scored" BoroMike tweeted: "Cracking #FACup game #Boro great atmosphere. #OUFC fans were great in the ground and in the town. Quarter finals!" John Cutler tweeted: Fair play to #OUFC battled hard 2nd half. Stayed behind to clap you off the pitch. Cracking cup tie. Like the old days. Safe trip back home." David Hempsey tweeted: "@davepalooza182 @riversidereds even as a @boro fan I couldn't help but smile when watching the #oufc fans when equaliser went in #awayday" Jack Strawberry: "‏Fair play to #OUFC for the second half fight back. Draw was deserved result but glad we saw it out. Fans were amazing. Proper cup tie #FACup" Lots of other Boro fans Tweeted similar praise. Sadly, there are a couple of muppets, who tried to soil the reputation of Oxford - Daniel Simpson Tweeting the following: "Oxford United outstanding effort, Middlesbrough your fans are p*ss poor and so are your team under pressure " Really? Not only does he attack the Boro fans, but he doesn't give full credit to the Oxford players who pulled two goals back... Then Junior tweeted: "How shit were the 'Boro fans.. Take the drum out of it and they were poor..." And in reply to Junior, Phil ‏tweeted: " Junior I thought Oxford fans were very good. Shame you didn't think Boro fans were good ? #oufc #utb" It's a shame that Oxford didn't leave these two at home... We're not in the draw, but MAPP has turned Oxford from a struggling League Two side into on that's hurtling upwards and respected at every level. Perhaps the play-offs await at the end of this season, if not, a couple of additions to this squad and next season will be very exciting - and perhaps the 6th round in 2018? Well done to the players, coaches and fans who made this FA Cup tie such a great occasion.

Back in the bar at the Jury's inn and a quite a few yellows in attendance. Maybe a little sombre but not ashamed. Lot of Boro fans commented how we took them to the edge and they felt lucky to have won. I think we were unlucky to lose. No shame in that performance.

Just back at hotel after great day out. Proud of whole club. After quiet games against Newcastle and Swindon, the Yellow Army was at full throttle today. Those around me in the Boro posh seats were impressed. Said that we look like a 'proper club'.
On the pitch, didn't think we were at our best. For large chunks of the game, Lunny and Maguire were awful and Marvin is not a proper defender. Thought Edwards' limitations were showed up (again). But we fought thru it, didn't give up and when we scored once you could sense unease in the stands around me. After that goal went in, we were the better side and could have gon onto win. Dunkley was really good - did he think, 2 or 3 years ago, that he would be marking Alvaro Negredo? Thought Martinez did a fair amount in the game, Ledson was combative, Robbie Hall far from out of place and McAleny looked very useful when he came on. The side as it is now is probably a Top 6 League 1 outfit. The question is whether we have left it too late and whether we have too many games in quick succession. Next two weeks critical. Four points or more against Charlton and Chesterfield and a win against Luton and our season is very much alive. Lose those three games and it's pretty much over.

You're moaning after that? Bugger off and support Man U. Unbelievable. You what? I'm not moaning, just saying Tuesday is a (more) important game all things considered. b*llshit. It's only a more important game if you have no sense of occasion, history and glory. We have been in the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup once in our 120 year history! How can a run-of-the-mill League game for a mid-table side be more important than that? I can just about understand a Premier League side in danger of relegation not taking the Cup as a priority, but who are we kidding??? Oxford United into the last eight? That is a far bigger deal than grinding out another point in the League.

Thought Nelson was equally culpable for the third goal - when the cross came in from Fabio he could have been stronger with his challenge in the box.
Edwards may have done more to stop the cross from the left.
Unlucky to lose after an excellent second half showing but what an opportunity missed.
McAleny could have won it late on - he runs well with the ball and looks dangerous.

Well done to the players, coaches and fans who made this FA Cup tie such a great occasion. Well done to the vast majority of Oxford fans in town and at the game. Looked good in the ground but because of the poor acoustics couldnt hear much up in the NW corner. Good game, we did our usual fall asleep at half time and once traore gets a brain he might stay up field on corners instead of trying to muscle players for the ball. Great free kick and our lot looked shell shocked from the restart. Hopefully you can kick on and get to wembley in the play offs but tell the muppets with the smoke canisters to leave em at home. One nearly hit me going past doc browns. Walked up to the ground with a family of Oxford fans, dad was bit worse for wear and 3 littke lads guiding him to the ground. Memories of many away days when I was a bit younger and bladder worked better. Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season and sure that Boro fans will be watching results after today.

My prediction is 'Boro 3 Oxford United 2 (Hemmings and Dunkley) Att: 26676 and 3434 Yellows fans, all coming home with sore throats. We will take the lead, but their Premier League experience will just about see them through. What a glorious chance for our players to put themselves in the 'shop window'. Our midfield and attacking players will have a big influence on our performance, here. I don't, for one moment, think our lot will 'freeze' in this fifth-round environment. Their attack will stretch our defence, as you'd expect. I see six of our players being yellow-carded, with one of them getting two yellows. I see an injury coming to Sercombe (maybe it's just his ego taking a bashing). Eastwood will make an amazing save (he'll invest a thousand quid in his bank and receive 5% interest). Dunkley and Skarz will fall out and square up to each other. The ref. will resign from the F.A. and start a new career in China after the game. Their scoreboard will malfunction, after some joker hacked into it and it will show a blue movie in the second half. Fresh after visiting those 'Tattoo Fixers' geezers on TV, M.A. will be sporting his new creation (supercalafragalisticexpialadocious), which has been tattooed on his.....well, he'll refuse to say where! We will have three goals disallowed (cheating bastards). Apparently, the weather forecast for tomorrow is severe fog, so to confuse 'Boro, United will be playing in an all-grey outfit, so our players will be invisible. For the first time ever, the match ball be a solid purple colour. Eastwood will have a black and white striped jersey, just to p*ss off the home fans. The linesmen won't have flags, but as an experiment for possible future use, will be given lightsabers (you know, those Star Wars things). The biggest cheer of the afternoon, will go to the dog, which runs onto the pitch and bites the ball, bursting the bastard. That just about does it for me. Good to be back. Bugger it! How I wish I was wrong.......(at least only one dubious disallowed goal)
