Not started one of these this season and I had plenty of luck with Cup competitions last year.
A free hit tomorrow. We're not expected to win but with a large following, who knows what will happen?
A response to Tuesday's defeat should be in order.

We're in with a shout, they are hardly pulling up any trees and (touch wood) find goals hard to come by. Stating the obvious maybe, but, the longer the match goes and they don't score they will be under pressure from their fans, we need to 'defend from the front' and close them down and stop them building from the back, if we do that successfully - we are more than capable of catching them on the break, we have players of guile and speed to take advantage should the chance/s arrive.
And, with a vociferous Yellow army of around 3,500 U's fans backing their every move - hopefully we can cause a massive cup upset!!

I'm a Sunderland fan and thought i'd give this game a visit, we don't have a game this weekend and tickets for £15 I thought why not. Good day on the drink with a pal who has never been to an 'away' game as such before and i'm hoping you lads make a good atmosphere. I have high hopes See you in the away end.

Our away following -whether 400 or 4,000 tends to be pretty loud and at times manic! (scum matches especially) The 'regulars' who go to virtually every away match are the hard core, not, because they think themselves 'hard' though!!

I saw a video of your winner against Swindon a few weeks back and I was impressed with the limbs on show I know that feeling only too well of scoring a winner against your nearest and dearest.

For those not going, might be worth catching Football focus at 12 BBC1...http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39006464 Interesting that this is in the background...our 5 game blocks. 75 points the target for play off and 84 for automatic I would guess! No ambition for mid-table from the management team and consolidating

Hmmmmm. The lucky 3-0 let me down for the first time last week but i'm sticking with it. Maguire to lift his game and bag one, Johnson and Hemmnings to round it off. Amersham Dave's dog throws up in the car on the long journey north and is locked out of the ground as punishment so is unable to bite anyone. Also we will get a penalty (or at very least a free kick).
Might be going up but it's a late call on that one. I'll take the lucky gloves just in case. Happy traves to all heading up and lets see if we can catch this lot cold.

Scored at least 3 goals against each club we've played. Would love for that FA cup form to continue.

Im hoping for a 2-2 Draw.
Fyling up to Newcastle tonight 21.25 on easy jet from Bristol ...cheaper then Driving or Train. Airport Taxi to ground..night in Premier inn..
More spare cash to throw at the local hostelries, and unemployed.
Safe Journey to anyone making the trip.
We are on a roll, confidence is high, we have absolutely zero to loose, they are languishing near the foot of the prem and the pressure is on them ...they are expected to win....
I've got a good feeling about this one.

Always love the atmosphere at the big away games. Going to be on the road about 7.30 from Hampshire and not driving back until Sunday so regardless of result intending on enjoying ourselves! Meal out, more than a few drinks and full english in the morning.

A response to Tuesday's defeat should be in order. Dragged us to Wembley single handed in JPT only for yellows1 to stuff up the final, if I remember correctly. You starting the matchday is probably the last thing Boro wanted!

9.00am start for the Lincoln Yellows, well we are half way there up here, As said already, a free shot, a chance for our boys to play with freedom do show their stuff, I am sure we will have time on the ball to execute a few chances, we will score and that gives us a chance, defend like we did on a Tuesday then we could be sent packing with our tails between our legs.... See you all there.... Head says............ Middlesbrough - 4 OXFORD UTD - 1 (Maguire) . Heart says a 2-0 away win.......... However regardless of the result, the players, the staff and the 3500 yellows will leave The Riverside with their heads held high.... . COME ON YOU YELLOWS.........

No reason why we can't win, but think it could go the way of the Newcastle game with us soaking up the pressure first half before hitting them with everything in the second half.
2 nil, Dunkley and Hemmings!

My prediction is 'Boro 3 Oxford United 2 (Hemmings and Dunkley) Att: 26676 and 3434 Yellows fans, all coming home with sore throats. We will take the lead, but their Premier League experience will just about see them through. What a glorious chance for our players to put themselves in the 'shop window'. Our midfield and attacking players will have a big influence on our performance, here. I don't, for one moment, think our lot will 'freeze' in this fifth-round environment. Their attack will stretch our defence, as you'd expect. I see six of our players being yellow-carded, with one of them getting two yellows. I see an injury coming to Sercombe (maybe it's just his ego taking a bashing). Eastwood will make an amazing save (he'll invest a thousand quid in his bank and receive 5% interest). Dunkley and Skarz will fall out and square up to each other. The ref. will resign from the F.A. and start a new career in China after the game. Their scoreboard will malfunction, after some joker hacked into it and it will show a blue movie in the second half. Fresh after visiting those 'Tattoo Fixers' geezers on TV, M.A. will be sporting his new creation (supercalafragalisticexpialadocious), which has been tattooed on his.....well, he'll refuse to say where! We will have three goals disallowed (cheating bastards). Apparently, the weather forecast for tomorrow is severe fog, so to confuse 'Boro, United will be playing in an all-grey outfit, so our players will be invisible. For the first time ever, the match ball be a solid purple colour. Eastwood will have a black and white striped jersey, just to p*ss off the home fans. The linesmen won't have flags, but as an experiment for possible future use, will be given lightsabers (you know, those Star Wars things). The biggest cheer of the afternoon, will go to the dog, which runs onto the pitch and bites the ball, bursting the bastard. That just about does it for me. Good to be back.

would like to see johnson and hall on the wings with maguire tucked in behind hemmings up top. if we're going to have a chance, we'll need to be smash and grab. we'll need the pace on the wings, regardless of how well hall has (apparently, i haven't seen) been doing in a central role. part of me would like to see hemmings and martinez together up top and maguire on the bench, but we'll need his dead ball prowess I feel. shame though, as hemmings i don't think can lead the line properly and we'll need a get-out ball.
If it's scoreless at half time, i reckon we'll nick it. if we concede early, it'll be a pretty dismal remaining game of football.

Halls dead balls, especially corners have actually been better than maguires of late. But I don't think we will see any changes from sat. Maguire may have gone off the boil in recent weeks but if there is one thing he is, that's a big game player. Might be just what he needs to get him mojo back
