Just about to return home it does look pretty bad out there in patches. This should of been inspected at lunch time today. Gutted for the Bradford fans that made the journey. The referee is to blame here imo. Lol would you take a day off work to inspect a football pitch to be abused for 90 mins? The referees have jobs at this level. Stop blaming the referees like this forum seems to do every week an just for once stop looking through the most luminous yellow glasses imaginable. Seriously I see it every week on here people talking crap about referees without being able to engage both brain cells about the situation. Dean Whitestone is a met police officer from Northampton who probably arrived at 5:45 after work he works in London do ain't gonna be around at lunchtime. It doesn't have to be the match ref that does early inspection but a local one, as was the case with the early two. The match ref did inspect it at 5.45 and said it was firm but playable, there is an argument that it's only going to get worse but temps were above freezing and not set to go lower than 0

Both the Bradford director and MAPP were philosophical when interviewed.
They reckon that a 3PM game would easily have been played.
I reckon that there would have been around 100 Bradford fans. Around 55 counted with about 15 minutes to go!

Saw Chris Williams as I left he was saying that the pitch was fine at 3pm this afternoon but deteriorated since. No fault of anyone, **** happens Yeah there's no way anyone could have predicted the extreme frost that we had this evening between 9.30am and 7.30pm 🙄 Just like the experts predicted the snow storms a few weeks ago that would bring the country to a grinding halt?....

Parked up at 740, having driven up for London , to be told the game was off. And come back to the usual whinging threads looking for someone to blame.
Just 'blame' the elements, the pitch deteriorated rapidly half an hour before kick off . These things happen,
Well done the club for the gesture to the Bradford fans. There were about 120 there.

I find it very sad (and not a little irritating) that the owners of the Stadium - for which the club (allegedly) pays 10 times the rent paid by Coventry City .....plus an undisclosed "service charge" - still cannot prepare a pitch unless the weather is set at Mediterranean spring levels. This must be the 15th season on the trot when, in a no shit Sherlock moment, we have been surprised that the 10 metre strip on the south side, wears out, deteriorates and freezes much quicker than the rest of the pitch. As Mapp said on Radox tonight, the problem is a lack of light reaching that area but It seems nothing has been done to redress this. Perhaps this is why the "service charge" is in dispute?

Understand your reasoning. But B teams were still involved in this competition this season. That was tongue in cheek. Anyhow, Wycombe are also through so if Oxford and Luton can make it it will be a (relatively) interestging draw. There is only one leg in the semi final so I might even be tempted to travel should we get through and be drawn away.

What was the Ref playing at? It was warmer than it has been recently today, but he postponed it after is passed 2 inspections. It does rather befit the whole snafu nature of that cup.

I was boycotting, which was made easier given that I live many many miles away. However, I'm unexpectedly in the area and I'm afraid my principles have gone out of the window given a chance of watching the lads at 2 tickets for £20. Hoping for a good game, at least my money is going to the club, right...? So your boycott can remain intact!

The ref didn't get in till 6pm! An inspection at 3pm should of happened The referees at this level are part time. I would suspect like me he would be working then. They are,but they do receive £400 per game(league) so maybe he could have done a drug bust in BL in the afternoon before inspecting the pitch ? P.S. According to the people in the know,if Sheffield Wednesday had won the championship play off final last season,it was worth a estimated £170 million to them, does the ref really come off doing nights at BMW before taking charge of the game ?
