Question about the covers.. From the pictures it looks like they are using the segregation sheets as covers. Now I'm not an expert but would these be up to the job?
Who's responsible for providing adequate covers for the pitch? Club or Stadco?

Who's responsible for providing adequate covers for the pitch? Club or Stadco? What just because they are black they must be the segregation sheets? When did we have a roll of segregation that covered two blocks at a time and come in a special roll for laying it ? . Weird how they are also just long enough to cover a football pitch, almost like they were designed to do it

Any game that raises revenue, increases prize money and gives the players/squad another game to gel is significant in my book.

Wonder where the segregation covers are from the pics then? Do they take them down between games?

Any game that raises revenue, increases prize money and gives the players/squad another game to gel is significant in my book. What about one that costs more than we make, sees us knocked out anyway, and several of our best players injured for no benefit? That would be fairly "significant" too I'd wager.

They are where they normally are. Look a little closer and you'll see them above the disabled section on the left, stretching up to the top of the stand. One by the gangway and another in the middle of the section. #shouldhavegonetospecsavers

You make a fair point. But if attendances went up after the end of a boycott then the money issue may be resolved. I have no idea what the prize money is though. Until we play the game we don't know if we will or will not be knocked out so how can you have any idea if the game was insignificant or not. We got to Wembley last year, that was pretty significant. Increased likelihood of picking up injuries is pure speculation and can happen in any game. Extra games can also help fitness levels more so than a training session I'd guess.

Well I believe that if we win this evening we get an additional £50K prize money taking the total won to over £100K. Regarding the injury of players- that can happen in any training session. I reckon that MAPP has played the selection for all of the games pretty well. Ruffels and Rothwell will probably get full games and Hemmings started scorign lots of goals in the 2 Cup competitions. It may come too early for Ribero and Long but no doubt they would have had game time had they been fit. So for the fringe players it has at least given them competitive game time.

MApp generally gets his selection right for cup matches. Both Ribiero and Long played yesterday, so no chance of them being near it today! It will be midfield where we see changes. Dont have many other option in goal/defence, with only really Martinez to come in up top.

Attendance ..... 1, 104... announced as 2,700. Result ..... probably be one after a new penalty format introduced for this round where the player has to nominate a pocket.

Or, in keeping with the fluid rules of this competition, do we have an excuse to play him?

There look to be more sales than the last round. SSU middle sections will be pretty full. I must admit that I went to the last round and the attendance looked about right to me (mate and I thought that there were slightly more than had been announced)
