They've been promised a win bonus, but duvet have the quality to beat us? The tie is definitely hanging in the valance. As long as we keep a clean sheet I'll be happy.

Hoping we don't shit the bed tonight, been losing sleep over this one for a couple of nights. Their wingers could give our wingbacks nightmares again. Let's play our strongest defenders, don't want to see us caught napping at the back.
Now I've ruined much of the fun to be had on to the game. Comfortable Oxford win, we'll get it right this time and punish an inferior team who will look to attack. Looking for a fun game.

History dictates we'll make extremely heavy weather of it and win 1-0 with a goal in the 74th minute...

Heard on the grapevine that they are staying at the four pillows, should have made for a restless night - a squad of players scrapping over bed linen. If we can tuck one in early - possibly with a cushioned header - it will turn out to be a nightmare game for the silky ones.

Presumably blanket coverage on RadOx?

It looks like being a very small crowd. The magic of the FA Cup eh?
Will there be any personnel changes? Will Taylor, Ruffels or Martin come in (I suspect that Martin will come in for Dunkley)

Haven`t seen the club making much effort to promote it and its hardly appealing in any shape or form. Cosy night in front of the telly.....................

However if it was an average league game there would probably been be 6,500 there. I guess that my point is that other than for big games even for the smaller clubs these days the FA Cup is 'hardly appealing'.

At the risk of spoiling a good fight, I thought I'd stick to what the original post was about.
Appleton will no doubt demand a response after Saturday (as will we all), but I wonder whether Macc will want this more than us? With an away tie against a side that looks doomed to relegation being the reward for the winners (and probably a guaranteed TV slot for if the National League side wins the replay), I detect less interest from us in the outcome from this game. There are probably some oxford fans who would rather we focused on cementing our place in L1 by taking maximum points from the next 4/5 league games (although at the moment I'm not one of them).
My predication is for a game that goes to penalties and which Macc win 5-4, and a crowd of around 4,500.

I pick and choose as do many as the cost of football escalates and people find other ways to spend both money & time. I was down for the Oldham game & will be there on Boxing Day with my Yeovil supporting Nephew so I`m doing my bit. Its noticable that there are very few who attend each & every game these days. Life & priorities change as you get older.

"Tickets for tonight's game against Macclesfield Town are online until 5:30PM tonight. Tickets are pay on the night, however we urge fans to purchase tickets online now as we're expecting the ticket office to be busy"
Can't fault their sense of optimism 😁

Our base support, be they day trippers/walk ups/ST Holders/Half Season holders etc etc, is around 30k. They don`t all come every week.............you may have noticed. If 7,000 turn up I would estimate, from my personal experience, that a large percentage of those folk "pick & choose". In the area of my seat there are about 50% "every gamers" and 50% "transient" supporters like myself. So whilst overall attendances maybe up its not all the same folk every week.

I reckon that the players will be up for it after last time's shocker. Oh and a crowd of 3,100.

I can't see the crowd amounting to much. They won't bring many and I can't see tons of our fans going on against an opponent that a lot of us have seen already.

Low crowd often equals an above par performance and cracking goals, the armchair can wait.

Taking my 10 year old daughter to the game tonight. Her first term time night game so bound to end up with pens. Promoting ourselves into the white hot atmosphere of the SSU. Looking forward to it.

As much as I should be hung, drawn & quartered for merely mentioning it but Macc Town's Danny Rowe is 14/1 as first scorer tonight. He looked a real threat in the first game....

Need a fast start tonight, get at them right from the off like they did to us. We need the prize money and I quite fancy our chances against Rotherham. Strongest team possible for me, afterall game time is better than any training you can do.
