Win your home games and draw your away games and you'll never be far from the top of the table.
Excellent week!

Danny Rose on scoresheet for Mansfield Different Danny Rose. Our ex-midfielder started for Pompey today.

A real shame about that Hemmings miss, but it sounds as though Scunny had a couple of reasonable chances at the end. Very happy with the draw.

Very, very good result. Don't you just love Mappy though, on Radox saying how we have dropped two points! Brilliant.

Now 3 points off the playoffs and 7 points off the relegation zone. This last week's points were well needed.

Couple of cup games then the next four league games going be a test ... as all against sides below us in the table (we'll at least they are today). In this league arguably counts for nothing... that said I'm optimistic, come the start of January I think we'll be in touching distance of play offs. COYY!

Very good result but part of me is extremely gutted as they were there for the taking. If only Hemmings had scored in to the open goal

Very good result but part of me is extremely gutted as they were there for the taking. If only Hemmings had scored in to the open goal True, but I thought a draw was fair. Both sides had chances. That was a very enjoyable game - what I could see of it - and I now have no worries whatsoever about our survival in L1 this season. No dud performances for us. If I had to pick one player for mention it would be Nelson. PS Report on official site says away support 'TBC'. Has anyone heard a figure? I would say around 500 to 700.

Great result and a great week, but no cause for complamency. Tuesday could well well have gone the wrong way - there was some truly chaotic last ditch defending against the Gills in the first half, and (from what I could see) in the second. Listening to the Radox commentary it sounded the same today. we've got a lot of talent in the squad but I don't think we're quite gellin as a team. If we can get that sorted then promotion isn't a completely wild dream. if we don't, we could find ousrseves in relegation scrap.

Not long back, what a game! Fantastic point, but it should have been all three, Hemmings miss was ridiculous. The ball was literally on the line, and he didn't do enough to get his foot to it. Scunthorpe were nothing special, we've played better this season, and for around 25 mins of the second half it was all Oxford. Well I think it was, the fog meant you saw nothing of the opposite goal. Man of the match, the fans. There was easily around 650 there, and sang continuously. The Scunthorpe fans were embarrassing, audible, just, once. Someone earlier said Lundstrum is now out, was he booked, or injured, must have missed that.
It's a real shame the FA Cup game is on a Friday night, we would have taken a large following up there!

Just back. Easy drive up, plenty of space in the car park and Frankie and Bennys. Watched a pretty good game (I think), got a point (and nearly three) against a very very slick team. Listened to a very realistic and gracious post match interview with the IRONMAN ager on the way down the M181/18. Easy run back .... what's not to like? 😊

Living 'up north' for once i had a quick (ish) trip home! Excellent day and a deserved point against the table toppers. MOM easy ..... The fans ..... If there's better in this league please point them out to me. Oldham (H), Bury (A), Northampton (H) and Walsall (H) makes me think that come the new year things will be looking a whole lot better

Lundstram's fifth booking, suspended one game only. All other bookings I presume are expunged now?

I don't think that they're expunged; it's just that from today players don't get a suspension for 5 yellows. However, whatever they have to this point will get added to, and once they get close to 10 bookings they're again in danger of missing a game. Could be wrong though.

I enjoyed that yesterday , just wish that bloody fog would p*ss off, if it follows us to Maccelsfield it won't be fun watching, even on the telly. :-)
We really could have won that game with the chances we had, equally they could have snatched it right at the end. Eastwood made a great save first half but the whole team did well
