Nervy but good win. Two on the bounce, only 4 points off the play-offs...

Good first half, second half nothing special. But 3 points is 3 points, well done lads.
Goodnight folks. Don't get lost in the fog on the way home, you may end up in a pub.

Ok not the display from sat , but still very good against a better side and in difficult conditions. No more talk of relegation( for now) we've got enough about us not to worry. Thought could have got a second, but did very well to keep 3 very good attackers at bay, some great clearances and blocks flying in. Thought maguire was trying a little to hard 2night, a few times a simple lay off to an over lapping player would have seen us through on goal, but choose to either turn again or have a shot from range. Not a complaint as on another one of those flys in and he's a hero. But would have probably gave macca motm again, full of running some great tackles and beating his man, still slightly off on his final cross, but we've looked much better with him back in. Nelson is really starting to come into his own now, commanding . Means we can go there on sat and play our game without pressure, and make it 9 points from 3 games

I'll be astonished if this is 1-0 at full time. They have too much room on the right wing and that bloke has a huuuuge throw on him too! And I'm happily astonished. I think they came off the boil in the second half, but to be honest I could barely see a thing down the fence end. We definitely kept the pressure up in the second half, which was very encouraging to see. Scrappy, well fought, well won and entertaining game of soccerball. COYY!

Not a fantastic performance, but a game we'd lose or draw a few weeks back. Good to see Marv get a goal today.
I'm surprised the game stayed on towards the end. The fog got rather thick but fair play to the officials for carrying on when the game got into the last 10 minutes or so

Was it really necessary to keep the barrier up at the back of the north?

Macdonald MOTM for next, Hemmings is looking good and linking well. I was vocally unsure about Halls recovery.....very, very happy to be proved wrong. Hr looks like the hungry young player we had five or so years ago. Plenty of positives to be had first half. Not great in the second but weather killed the game slightly. We'd have drawn or list that a month ago

We got about the pitch well again tonight, especially first-half, and good performances once again from just about everyone. Cap seems back to near his best again and i am really enjoying watching Rob Hall. Damn, he's quick. Macdonald had another good 60 minutes and defence dug-in brilliantly when required. This is more like it. Everyone giving 100%. Less spectacular, but gritty steely skill wins us matches.

Any news on Chey Dunkley's injury? The BBC text line sais he came off because of injury. Hamstring strain, walking about in the dressing afterwards not thought to be serious according to Apps.

4 4 2! I think we've found our team, thank god we're back to a simple formation with no false 9s or lineups with no forwards. Enjoyable two games and suddenly we have lots of good attackers.

Finally back in wet and cold Chester. I think that is what they call grinding out a result.
Do I win a prize for predicting the starting line up?
