Just booked my tickets, only 2 weeks away now! Surely we'll take 2000+ there seeing as it's our first game there and less than an hour (half that for fans in North Oxon) away?

First game after our hols so we are going. Going to drive up and risk the roundabout mayhem! Fans guide indicates that it is best to follow signs for coaches, not the ground. Takes you to the back of the away stand. (probably where there is no parking!)

Should take over 3k to this. Anyone know the watering holes, is it a taxi job?

Should take over 3k to this. Anyone know the watering holes, is it a taxi job? I'd imagine it is. Near the ground is Ikea, Asda and a retail park! You can get Kopparberg Pear cider in the Ikea cafe though...!

Should take over 3k to this. Anyone know the watering holes, is it a taxi job? I went last season to MK Dons v Derby. The Red Dot bar at the ground is home fans only and I believe the nearest pub which is called "Inn on the Lake" is now also home fans only. Quite a few Derby fans seemed to settle with Frankie & Benny's or TGI Friday's and get food as well. They are on the retail park which the ground is on the same site as. After the game we went in the Enigma Tavern and then onto the Park Hotel by Bletchley station. Edit: A google suggests that the Enigma Tavern is now closed. The ground itself is definitely a taxi job from Milton Keynes town centre. Nearer stations are Bletchley (2 miles) and Fenny Stratford (a mile). I seem to recall hearing that Fenny Stratford had a few pubs.

Debating getting bus from Bicester and then having a few in the centre - well, the pubs around the ski dome and then taxi into ground at two ish. Anyone else doing this or going direct to retail park by ground?
We will sell 2500, if we beat Swindon - maybe 3,000

Fenny Stratford for me coming down Watling street, dump the car around there somewhere then walk down to the ground. If you want to join the parking chaos & pay for the privilege then www.ticketmonkey.eu/event/23_mk-match-parking

Shame we're all stuck up in the upper tier with the lower tier empty. Should still be a cracking atmosphere in our end but don't expect too much from the Dons fans.

Could be interesting.
Compare to Sheff Utd where 1,000 pre-sold... up until it was made pay on the day.... just under 2k turned up (much longer journey).
MK is much closer, a positive result Saturday...... can see 3k ++ going.
Been a while since we took that many to an away league game...come on stato`s!

The top tiers are much better for atmosphere! And view! I've heard that this is the only ground where you can have a beer whilst watching the game as the concourses have glass walls.

The top tiers are much better for atmosphere! And view! I've heard that this is the only ground where you can have a beer whilst watching the game as the concourses have glass walls. When I went last season, there were no walls at all between pitch view and concourse. They had tried in vain (only in away end) to hang some tarpaulins so you couldn't see the pitch when stood in concourse. Whilst also having 'beer zones', essentially with some barriers and a steward to stop you taking beer to far. I imagine someone mucked up when designing the concourses and forgot that you aren't supposed to be able to see the match whilst consuming alcohol in the football league. It would be like if the SSU and SSL just had empty space between them rather than the Exec. Boxes. Edit: Added a picture below. I believe the upper and lower tiers share the one concourse so it doesn't matter that we have been allocated the upper tier only.

How many does the upper tier hold? Allocation of 3000 in the first instance in the corner. Then they either open more of the top tier behind the goal or the corner of lower tier Wolves took 9000 one year so there is plenty of room!
