Go on...
Can't be that hard.
Can't cost that much.
Sure the council won't mind.
If we lose you can use it for the play-offs.
It will look nice.
Make us feel better about ourselves.
Put Wycombe in there and give us the whole North Stand.
Go on....
If not now, when?

Why stop there? Let's have an oval stadium with three tiers all the way round, league 1 won't know what's hit em!

How about a row of open top double decker buses behind the fence at premium rates? Will also reduce lost balls caused when WW keep hoofing it over the car park.

They do "next day delivery"........ www.grandstandsworldwide.com/clamstand.htmStick one with 85 seats in the corner by Ollys den... that`ll do for Whycome. Being non-league they`ll be used to it. Bet they are looking forward to their "Derby of Hate & Venom" against Col U next season.............................

The thing is essexyellows you go and write that kind of thing and they'll come and try harder to beat us. It's their team talk done for them.
I don't know how we can risk being arrogant at this extremely late and fragile stage.

You honestly believe Ainsworth will log on here, print off a random comment on a forum and use it for his team talk? You are slightly over inflating the importance of this forum I feel. I go to every game expecting us to win......you call it arrogance............... I call it support. Be positive, be passionate but don`t be fragile!

O don't agree with putting away fans behind the goal. Have Oxford fans at both ends sucking the ball in.
I'd imagine it all takes months for planning permission, insurance, safety certificates etc anyway.

Unfortunately it seems the 4th stand still won't be needed even if we do get promoted.... If we do get promoted, the away following for the teams in league 1 are barely better than a lot of the teams in our current league, teams like Rochdale, Bury, Scunthorpe, Oldham, Shrewsbury, Fleetwood, Walsall, Gillingham, Southend, Peterborough, Barnsley and Port Vale will certainly not bring 4 figures to Oxford (unless top or close to the the top of the league) and I wouldn't have thought the likes of Sheff Utd, Coventry and Millwall would bring more than the teams we could lose next season with Pompey, Bristol Rovers, Wycombe and Luton possibly staying in league 2... Swindon will only be given the statury 1250 tickets, relegated Charlton Athletic and MK Dons if doing well may fill the visitors end so all bodes well to get at least 10,000 yellows in the stadium at each home game if required. Bare in mind we haven't averaged 10,000 at home for 30 years so probably another reason the 4th stand will be on the back burner for another season..... Playing in the "Championship", now that's another story.....!!!!!!

True but a 4th stand makes Financial sense in other ways apart from the big games Makes the Whole experience of attending home matches more appealing which in turn encourages People to Return. Especially if the Acoustics were better than what we have at the moment. If it included a supporters bar \ Away bar \ Retail outlets etc if would generate extra Income. Hosting other bigger events. pop concerts \ England U21 matches etc. The bigger the stasdium the more potential ticket sales. If I was mega Rich I would build a replica of Our London Road

The early sell-out has given the club a nine-day window to conduct a great experiment.
They know there is the demand there.
And, for once, they have the time in which to act.
My public denunciations of myself last night were intended to anticipate the ritual argument we have had on this forum and elsewhere whenever the subject comes up.
But now is the time to break out of this ritual.
If there ever was a game when the soul-less concrete wind tunnel needs to change, this is it.
Even if we put up just a little stand - like the temporary thing we sat in at Newport- it would change the feel of the whole stadium, creating a whole new dimension, a fourth dimension, of positivity and excitement.
We could put Wycombe's 300 in half of it so they get rained on. We could put desperate Oxford fans who don't mind getting wet in the rest. We could sell the remaining 1,500 tickets in the North Stand to our own supporters.
And it would be really, really, lovely.

If a two tier stand was ever built at the fence end it should be the home end.
All yellow seats with the Ox head on both levels.
3.5k stand along with club shop and bar.
Well that's my view on it!

There are planning issues to deal with and don't forget we don't own the stadium and dealing with Firoka on a day to day basis is not easy. There are H&S issues, and then you've got to source and install it, and then sell the tickets for a stand that currently doesn't exist. I'm not trying to be negative here, but nine days is no time at all for something like this given our current circumstances of not owning the stadium. I think we need to give the club a break on this one.
