I don't expect any help from Wycombe. We get promoted and they lose their cup final!

Just got back.....what a relief. Fantastic result, Maguire, Macca excellent. And Dunckley for me was immense again.. Surprised no-one has mentioned his performance. Anyway who bloody cares??!!!
I'll say it again... Events are not concluded until such time as the female with excessive body fat delivers a melodic sound via her vocal chords.

Hes not been mentioned today yet from the posts I've read but well done to Josh Ruffels, thought he put in a decent performance today. Sercombe not so good with the ball as we all know he can but kept working and putting in a shift, can't ask for more than that when your not at your best. Absolutely agree, Ruffels had a fantastic game today, he broke up the play and never put a foot wrong, when moved to left back he never went to ground rashly and stood his ground. He deserves huge amounts of credit today. First half Ruffles was immense.. Becoming a very important member of the squad.

Best of luck in your promotion push. Not that I think you need any to achieve it. Make sure you enjoy it times like these dont come round very often supporting clubs like ours.

Yes, it's important to enjoy it when it comes along. You've had a good second halve to the season, hope you're challenging next season.

We have been possibly one of the best teams in the league in the last few months, but to beat the top teams you need your best players. I think were going places under hignett and with a few signings we might be a surprise package next year. Pompey and Plymouth to come be nice to shock one of them.

Think you could win them both. Plymouth have blown it lately and Pompey are not what their fans think they are. And I'm sure you'll be up there challanging next year. Wish you the best because you are a real team that likes to play.

Won every header I can remember him going up for and was very commanding in helping out Kenny too. Also, thought his Cruyff turn at Wembley was a once in a lifetime moment but he even managed to perfect it again today. Wright was equally excellent in the air today and composed with the ball at his feet. Some people were a bit worried by the prospect of a Wright-Dunkley combination but so far I think it's looked very promising.

Not a lot between the two teams today I thought, Pools had a lot of possession first half and if their top scorer (Paynter?) had been fit it might have been a different story. However, second half I was very pleased that we raised our game even more and attacked at will, they rode their luck with the referee with some very dubious tackles and had the rub of the green at times with clearances and deflections, one save in particular by their keeper was astonishing. It was a great relief when we got a much needed second goal in FIVE (Where did the effin ref get that from?)minutes of injury time. A real gutsy performance that was satisfying and encouraging, take that into the final two matches and we should get our just rewards.

But seeing as he will probably go championship in he Summer, how much you want for Carson

He has just signed a long term contract last week. I'm not going off one game mate been immense for 99% of games. I will be shocked if a big club doesn't come in for him. Possibly as good as the greek guy who we had in our promotion year who is now middlesbroughs number one.

Best oppo goalie I've seen in a long time. as others have said, good on the monkeyhangers for coming and playing a proper game of football.

Great reactions from Roofe for his goal, was at the match but didn't see his strike clearly. Just listened to Joe Skarz post-match interview on RadOx, about 30 mins into the programme. Interesting to hear the background as to how he got to play today, brilliant attitude. Thanks for the effort Joe. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03qdj2n

Superb result, and a fantastic effort from a number of players who obviously weren't fully fit, but made the difference - thinking Skarz and MacDonald particularly. Yup! Made such a difference to have them back in. As I've said elsewhere I think we'd have been promoted already if we'd have had them for the previous two matches. great performance yesterday!

Not sure if it's been mentioned but some of the Hartlepool fans were applauding the 86 team as they went around the pitch. I thought that was nice of them. Fair play to their fans too as every away game must be a nightmare to get to!

We have two games localish York 60 miles away where we took around 1800 and Carlisle 90 miles or so away. But this year has been horrendous travelling wise. Plymouth Exeter Yeovil Bristol rovers Wycombe oxford Barnet Leyton orient daggenham all well over 200 miles and probobly a few I've forgotten about. I think we have averaged around 300 fans which is quite something to say how bad we have been most of the season.
