So we entertain Stevenage at the Kassam tomorrow afternoon, and hopefully my unbeaten home record stays intact. We really should beat these tomorrow, as we gave them a bit of a drumming away from home. Would love to see a repeat performance, but don't think it will be as easy this time around.
Im going with a couple of mates, and hoping to convince them to come back again.
Im predicting a Home win 3-1

Let's hope we can turn it on for an afternoon performance at home - it'll be the first time this year.
A few stinkers coming out of the blue mean I'm never confident about the result at the moment. Having said that, we really should be winning this, and we've proved that we can secure results against poorer teams without having to get into top gear.
3-0 win, and hopefully a couple of surprise results elsewhere to really make it count.

No question it's a massive game, as far as the promotion push is concerned.
We have a squad and the quality to beat a Stevenage side struggling to stay clear of the relegation battle. I know that our home form has been up and down, this season, but I cannot see us not getting the all-important WIN!
I'll settle for 1-0 but I hope I'm proved further wrong, tomorrow, and we can get two or more goals and stamp our place in the 2nd automatic promotion spot?

Hoping for a very efficient and Professional display by the Mighty Yellows, how many goals we score doesn't really matter, but obviously more the better. 5-0.

Has to be a win surely, at least two nil. One or more of the auto hopefulls have to slip up tomorrow, just make sure its not us. Would hate us not to get maximum points by five o'clock and need to go to Cambridge on Monday for a must win. 8100 crowd.

They had Northampton worried last week but I can't see them doing that to us. I'll go for a win by 3 goals.

If you watch the highlights of the Stevenage Northampton game, they took their 2-0 lead with two headed goals from set pieces - a corner & a diagonal free kick into the box, the second aided by some dodgy keeping.
We are going to need our strikers taking their chances, as I can't see this one being nil-nil........

I've really been looking to this one. This is my big chance to get a prediction spot on. I've been taking 'prediction classes' from my mate, 'Harry the horoscope'. With his expert guidance, I am confidently able to predict: Oxford United 6 (Skarz with all six) Stevenage 7 Att: 3009, with 3000 away fans. But my attention is drawn to other moments, during the game. One of the Stevenage fans will bring the entire london Philharmonic Choir with him, but because they don't know any football songs, they will be silent all through the game. An Oxford fan will save the day, by playing a mouth organ during the match. The referee will be replaced by a Mister Isaac Hunt, just before the game starts. Skarz will be injured by a bad foul, but the ref (Mr Hunt) won't even give us a free kick, so the Oxford Physios and team doctor will go on strike. The 50/50 ticket will be won by a Mr. F. Kassam. After 24 minutes, a rabid dog will run onto the pitch and slobber all over their number 6, who will run off screaming. He will reappear after 28 minutes but be subbed, after he has a nervous breakdown. Roofe will take a penalty, but miss badly; the ball ending up in the South Stand Upper. Before the game, Skarz will accidently smash his car into Sercombe's Jag. He will start the game will a mysterious black eye. Roberts will make a rare start, but will trip over the ball and fracture his coccyx. Buchel will also fracture his coccyx and be replaced by MacDonald, of all people (Mapp will have lost faith in Slocombe). A man flying a microlight will crash into the Director's box. During half - time, Peter Rhodes Brown will be asked to recite a poem called Rotten Roderick the randy Squirrel. Radio Oxford will go off the air ten minutes early and finish after 80 minutes. That just about does it for me.

When you say makeshift defence are you referring to the fact we have a right back missng? Not really makeshift as Long can play there or Mullins with Wright and Dunks in the middle. But you're right about having to be right at it from the off, I think they'll come over for a point given there is a bit of a cushion to the bottom 2.

I was hoping that we might get a decent crowd for this one as we are headed towards the business end of the season . We live in hope for that., but We have surely laid the ghost of those poor home performances and with that in mind, I think we should see them off 3-1

Stevenage have just appointed a new manager (Gleen Roeder), so hope that doesn't have an influence on their performance from a positive perspective.

I'm hoping for a 6-0 We murdered them 5-1 earlier this season against nine men and it should've been more but for the penalty save and other close efforts. I'm still smarting from that journey up to the motorway years ago to lose 0-1 Let's score loads and improve our goal difference and push them down a step or two to the National. Hope York win too

Oh okay, they said manager in tv last night. Well I still hope he doesn't have an influence! Glenn Roeder on his Stevenage role: “I’m here for six weeks and that’s it” Sounds like he can't wait to get away, and who can blame him?! If he 'Influences' their players with such 'Enthusiasm' then good old GR!!
