The Yellow Army, which aims to raise funds to improve the match day experience and to further fund the Youth & Community Trust, is inviting fans to make suggestions for the new name of the Oxford United supporters' bar. A big focus of the match day experience has been the creation of the 12th man bar, which this year has seen the introduction of Q&A with past players, Oxford United photos around the room and even some nice food! The club also benefits from a revenue share agreement with the stadium company, meaning that a percentage of the profits goes back to helping the club. This is a bar that we want to work more with the club to improve and create a thriving pre-match area for U’s fans. To start with, we are able to change the name to a name chosen by you… the fans of Oxford United. This is our bar as fans and so being able to have a say in its naming is fantastic. We need your help to be creative and think of a name worthy of the Oxford United supporters' bar. Please send your suggestions to the Yellow Army by email to yellowarmyoufc@gmail.com. The deadline for suggestions coincides with season ticket renewal day: 2nd June. Following this, the most popular options will be put to vote where the winning name will be decided. I quite like 'Mystery Percentange Bar' ..... though I would wouldnt I :-) .....gotta agree with Oggie 'Moodys' is a good call ....though, isnt this kinda academic should 'we' get the Priory back as a matchday wateringhole? ..... which of course is subject to it not having a Putin style manipulation of the (Priory) survey launched today. ...natural cynic that I am , Im wondering why the call to rename (rebrand) that bar has come out on here the very same day as The Priory survey??? left hand (oxvox) and right hand (yellow army) ... working together, independently or oblivious to each others aims...I wonder which applies ? hmmmmmm?

The Priory and the supporters bar, would give greater choice and improve the match day experience. So I am glad both are getting some attention today. As the bars make Oxford United around £4,000 per game, many fans will choose to drink in the supporters bar anyway. Moody's is a good shout. There is the ironic aspect to it, but it would be named after a legend. My suggestions would be Moody's Bar, The 86 Bar, Manor Bar, or Beanos Bar (if he stays and has the chance to break the record)

So it's official? We make 4k per game from the bar? That's 88k from last season... Not bad...

4k per game is an impressive figure, more than I thought it would be. much more.
Fair play to all involved. 88k profit for Ian Lenagan to hopefully put towards the first team. I can see why the bar is so popular.

If ANYONE will officially confirm the £4,000 profit to OUFC every game....even more would use it too....thing is £4,000 profit to OUFC just from the bar with no name is IMO very unlikely to be the true figure from that source of income.... if it did generate £4,000 per home game why the secrecy over the percentage split, if true itd be something to broadcast widely? Mind you, get the Priory reopened as OUFC supporters club & nominal (hopefully? ) rent apart, ALL , not merely a percentage of, profit would go to OUFC ...making the Priory obviously the better option Id say

Should be Beanos Bar. The man who best represents any success we've had since moving to the Kassam.

But what profit would the priory make? It's decrepit inside, no passing traffic in the week, no marquee planning permission, and it's still got to be leased from Kassam.

Kassam won't just give it back, when he has his hotel plans next door. He won't want a popular pub taking money off his other enterprises. I've heard the hotel were under instructions if asked by workers where a pub was, they were directed anywhere but. Pipe dreams. Cloud cuckoo land.
