Does this show Mr K that OCC are on our side? I'm not sure, but I believe k***am knows OCC are definitely not on his side, which I suppose might mean the same thing. It seems that we have different members of the OCC now as 'those' who sold the land to FK and gave him rights etc... Personally, I think that members of the 'current' OCC haven't received the same brown paper bags as 'those' colleagues and are rather pi££ed by it. Hence, publicly stunting this.

we were ripped off by both, its a real shame, ive been an oufc supporter for around 52 years, sadly i live up in the north now and olny get to a handfull of games up here. we should have a ground to be proud of, not renting a three sided white elephant.

That made me laugh Moobs. We're obviously in good company. Well if an expensive legal battle develops and the result goes the wrong way, let us hope that Kassam does not see it as a precedent and takes an action against oxvox. God forbid it doesn't happen, but if it does, you'll need to shake a few more buckets - but keep laughing!.....

Appreciate the comments Bob, but as you know already we have been assured of our legal position and are quite comfortable with the advice provided.
If we do consider shaking buckets then I know to avoid your good self.

I don’t think that Oxford United fans have ever been to reduced to shaking buckets in recent times apart from charity events, and imho it’s a waste of time as thousands of pounds collected means nowt when you think about how much football clubs are worth these days.
Anyway, I digress. I am intrigued about this assured ‘legal position’ and who gave this advice.

Bit more on this snake. Should firoka appeal the decision there are no costs placed upon applicants and the costs to the city council are covered by a pot held by central government.
This was one of the things we checked with Ministers, Supporters Direct and the Council before making the application.

Forgot to say Snake it's good to see you posting on here again. Hope you and your family are well. Perhaps I might bump into you at a game soon if we can drag you away from the current League Cup holders clutches!
Hope all is well with you.

Now the Don Valley Stadium is being applied for as an Asset of Community Value. With the obligatory reference to Oxford United.

360 venues have been listed to date (since Jan 2013) quite impressive if I do say so myself.

I understand that any publicity is good publicity but time will tell if all these obligatory references to OUFC will prove positive.

I understand that any publicity is good publicity but time will tell if all these obligatory references to OUFC will prove positive. Don't worry it seems some have just managed to read what the CRTB is. www.yellowvoice.co.uk/post/Info-on-Assett-of-Community-Value-6469584?trail=15#5The reason for the "secrecy" Mr Brain was that we needed to ensure that the application had every decent opportunity to go through. The introduction of JPPC on behalf of Mr Kassam, his advisors who were involved in the consultation, perhaps suggested that sensitive decision was right. Perhaps with hindsight it was wrong. I have never ever seen a suggestion OxVox would enforce the 6 month period should any offer come in (thus rendering the argument it would scare potential bids off). For example, why would we block or enforce this if a sensible, attractive and beneficial offer came in from a third party which benefited Oxford United and its supporters?

Tom Hall, Head of England & Wales at Supporters Direct, the governing body for supporters’ trusts, said: “Ipswich Town First should be congratulated in their work to make sure that Portman Road takes its place alongside Old Trafford and Anfield, and the first two, Oxford United and Nuneaton Town, in having stadia successfully listed. “We are seeing this trend escalate, and many more applications are being lodged from across the pyramid. This and all other successful listings are demonstrating that our view that clubs and their stadiums should be seen as community assets and not simply as part of an investment portfolio is being widely accepted.” ipswichtownfirst.wordpress.com/
