Well done all, I thought it was good. Again much like the feedback from the 12th Man Bar, the next showing at home to Wycombe will be better again, I have no doubts. Could I ask a question? Could the big srfer which was hoisted up and held in a position be secured and then it stays up for the whole game? Is it a case of a few more lashing points and hooks to tie it down? That can be arranged by JL/MS. Also it would be great to have the original surfer positioned in the central area of the North Stand, especially as Eric didn't buy his season ticket there this season.

I thought the music was great you boring old fuddy duddies. sorry swissyellow Ive gotta disagree..... not got an issue with the volume.....but, the boring, depressing jurassic piece of crap that 'heralded' the teams arrival onto the pitch is DIRE....watching paint dry is more uplifting than hearing that dirge

I don't mind the Judas Priest "United" track as the U's enter the pitch but they should just cut to the chorus (like Sheff.United used to do)rather than the beginning of the song which is awful!

In response to the drum claims i think we should area dedicated areas for singers, I would say something like the middle 4 blocks and the top 8 rows or so of that, then songs like we are the left side and right side would be better with 2 blocks v another 2 blocks, 'The Yellow Army Area'
Or we could also have it where we encourage the North Stand singers to make more noise like they used too, I Used to stand at the north stand and we sung songs like 'WE Are the north stand & we're louder than you' and others like' East Stand East Stand give us a song' this made the atmosphere a whole lot better!
Also another problem with the atmosphere is that we don't have many creative songs... Come on Oxford is the most, the song that we should and get going is the great escape because games like Wimbledon at home and Rotherham at home this song was song for a good 10 mins long...

A singing area won't work until we get a new stand and then everyone who wants to sing etc can get their season tickets in that stand together. Devils advocate - who would this area be policed? Say myself and 10 mates who have always stood in that area and like the view we have decide to sit in the same seats even though its a singing area... What will happen will we be thrown out? if someone refuses to sing will they be thrown out? How many songs will a person have to sing to be concise red a singer or not a singer? What happens if all the singing area don't sing... Ive been to matches where even the so called self proclaimed singers are quite... And some then have the cheek to shout at others for not singing... Seriously if people are as serious as they say they are about getting an atmosphere going by creating a singing section then it shouldn't matter where it is... I'm not 100% sure but I think the Celtic area isn't behind the goal. A few seasons ago it was tried over on the right side but failed as people didn't like the view from there... So in reality people want a singing area... But it has to be in the place they want it to be or they can't be arsed

I agree about using the Ox's head flag in the north stand, and then maybe use another surfer in the Ox mail end. But with only 5 of us doing the banners on sat, it took us 2 hours just to do the ones we had! So we'd need a lot more people!! we wanted loads more flags up on Sat, but just couldn't manage. Also like the idea about keeping the 'pulley' banner up all game. Would be good to pull it up when the players are walking out like we did Sat, and then maybe get to tie the ropes down, so it stays.

There is a plan for the Wycombe game. The Ox head flag will be in the North stand empty seats.
More details will be announced soon.

How about we put a big banner along the plain, boring, fence? Nothing is on it at all at the mo, if it's possible and we get another people helping? Maybe the big "WE ARE OXFORD" one we had problems with putting up in the North stand on Sat. Would add more yellow and blue to that end, and would look good on the highlights etc

A silly idea..... Looking ahead a bit, I think the 'Yellow Army' should lay down a singing challenge to the squad + coaching team. If they are not top of the league (top 3?) by Christmas they have to sing us a Christmas carol (ideally in festive apparel). If they are top then we, the fans, have to treat them to our own rendition of a Christmas favourite on match day.

I like it too.
I would happily bung in good few quid towards the cost of a QUALITY banner(s) for the fence end it the club are not going to have any sponsorship there this season.

It would have to come down after the game? Doubt LW would approve. Good idea if possible. Is there anything in the league regulations about this type of thing?

When I met with the club over the summer, I mentioned flags and banners on the fence, and was told it wouldn't be possible. I can't remember the reason why, but will ask again.
It would look good if it was possible
